Liar and dishonest 2/21/2012

I took my car in on 02/21/2012 for a diagnostic test for the check engine light on my car, everything was going well until, my car was brought back with my paint stripping out the front bumper, I brought it to told me that my paint just started stripping with bubbles for no apparent reason. I called the cops and they came and they did not write any report regarding the matter. I was so mad that a Huge company could be so cruel and dishonest. I would not recommend anyone to go to this particular dealership. I am going to report them to the better business bureau. more

They can't even do a simple oil change 1/6/2012

Took my Accord in for an oil change, a few days later oil dripping on the garage floor. Took off ANOTHER afternoon to take car back. Turns out they made a mess changing the oil and did not clean the engine. This show the total incompentence at Leith. I will never take my car back there again for service. more

DISGUSTED!! 11/22/2011

THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL RIP OFF!!! I took my 2001 Honda Accord in and one tech came out and said I would need motor mounts. This tech was leaving due to a emergency phone call he rec'd. Another tech comes out about 15mins later and said it was my transmission...OMG my husband and I flipped, and said are you kidding me how is it the transmission and he was said it was ticking so that was a sign NOT..I took my car to AAA and they told me it needed motor mounts....My niece took her 98 Honda accord there and they put it on the diagnostic machine because her engine light kept coming on. Once before she had taken it to Advance Auto and the machine read the same thing, but she was still unsure so she wanted to take to Honda dealership. Well Honda said she wasn't click her gas cap enough (which she does) but that was the issue. One week later she was driving and the engine light came back on. She took it back and NOW all the problems come in. They said it was worn pistons and worn gaskets. No how was it the machine didn't read this first. They said they would wave the diagnostic charge and minus the totally out of $180 so to fix will be ONLY $130. She agree to that, 20 minutes late the some one comes in and said after going deeper they noticed another problem with coolant line was either corroded or leaking and to fix all of that would be $400....My niece told them to finish up the the gaskets get her paper work and so she could leave and make sure everything was stated on her paperwork. A few days later she took it to AAA and they only thing the machine read was gas tank and they guy said she need a new CAP!!!! She purchased a cap from Honda and the light hasn't came back on since and its been 2 months!!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER DEAL WITH HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I LOVE HONDA'S BUT JUST NOT THE SERVICE RIPOFF DEPARTMENT!!!! more

service department at Leith honda 11/18/2010

David Rolow was my service advisor when I took my daughter's civic in for service. He is really good. Didn't oversell me on more service work than I needed. He actually told me to wait on the brakes because they had about 7500 miles of life left on them. You can trust these guys. The cashiers were even great. They were singing to the customers as we were paying our bill. Take your car there. You will not be sorry. more

I Have been usng this dealership service dept. for over 6 years and can not praise them enough,Ken Hunter is awsome he looks after me and my wife's cars and treats us with the most respect i've ever experienced at a dealer the employees at leith honda add the special little touch's (sometimes by accident) to make the one laugh.they are always keeping us informed as the reairs go and explain everything in common terms we can actually understand,the employees joke and laugh so you know they love thier jobs and dealing with us repairs when we actually checked were equal or cheaper than those indendant shops.and imagine that they are the factory trained guys that really know the car. WE ARE CUSTOMERS FOR LIFE THANKS TO KEN HUNTER AND LEITH HONDA FOR NO WORRIES. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE NEW DEALERSHIP! more

Great Experience 7/7/2010

I bought a 07 Honda Accord EX-L today and worked with salesman Bruce Chavis. As a single woman in my early 60's, I was nervous about buying a car. Excellent Sales Experience 2/22/2008

My wife and I bought a 2008 Civic EX from Leith last night. We used several avenues to find a a low price- USAA and NCSECU car buying services, several websites, Consumer Reports car reports, and spoke to a couple of dealerships. I emailed Leith the best offer I could get from Crown Honda in Durham and Leith beat it by around a thousand dollars. By email. We went to the dealership, signed papers, and left. It took about 1.5 hours since we'd agreed to everything via email prior to even visiting the dealership. Our salesman was nice, funny, and respectful. The financing guy was too. In fact, we were approved for 2.9% financing over email. I highly recommend the electronic route. As an aside, I called the salesman we'd been talking to at Crown to let him know that we purchased a car at Leith and he tried to browbeat me for not buying for him. It left a very ugly impression and my wife refuses to consider them for Honda service although they're much closer to us than Leith. Overall, we got no bull and were very satisfied with our experience at Leith. If we had even sensed the disrespect that the previous reviewer alleged, we'd have split in a heartbeat. more

Seervice Department 11/1/2007

I had my Honda serviced on 10/30/07 and the next day I noticed some Oil in my driveway. I open the hood and check the oil. Then I looked under the vehicle and checked the bolt on the oil pan. I turned it with my hand. Not a wrench. I had to tighten the bolt with a wrench. This is not the professional job that I expected from your service department. I purchased this vehicle new from you in 1999. I will never bring it back to your shop for another service. Thanks for nothing. more

Avoid Leith Honda Dealers 2/17/2006

I purchased my car from Chris Leith Honda on Capital Blvd in Raleigh in 2003. While I love my Honda CRV, I despised the treatment I received at the dealership and the attitudes I encounter each time I have to visit the parts department. The sales team ignored me throughout the sales pitch and directed their attention to my husband. Even AFTER he repeatedly told the sales man that he needed to talk to me because the car was for me and I was making the decision about the car and paying for the car. We had to order my car because they did not have the color and style I wanted in stock. It took one week longer than quoted for the car to arrive. When we showed up for our scheduled appointment to pick up our keys, the paper work and the car were not ready. We had to wait at the dealership over two hours without apologies or explanations. I will not shop here again. more
