We have rented from Leighton three times since 2008, and two of the three times we arrived at our unit after check in to find the cleaning people still cleaning. Leighton takes no responsibility for it, does not respond to questions/criticism about it, and does not offer any type of compensation for this mistake. We find this very offensive, as Leighton is MILITANT about us being on time with our registration/payments/ checkin times. When our on file credit card expired, we received an email, and two voice mail messages, demanding that it be updated IMMEDIATELY. Leighton is also MILITANT that you show up within a designated window of time to check in; if you are late, too bad about you, according to Leighton. However, they can be late preparing your unit. I wish they cared as much about letting their guests check in at check in time as they do about demanding that their guests comply with their deadlines.
Other than that, they actually are pretty good. I especially appreciate that everything can be done electronically, which makes contract signing efficient. Their directions are useful, and their description of the units is accurate. They respond to phone calls promptly. They made the process easy. Undoubtedly we will use them again. Maybe they will be at five stars by then.
