Mr. Lee, of Lee’s bakery used to work at the old Deelite Bakery in Kalihi. He left and opened his own bakery in Chinatown. There, his bakery makes the best custard pies in town. His custard pie is heavy, smooth, rich and thick. You have to call to reserve one; otherwise, you’ll have to wait for the next batch, which takes a couple of hours. The bakery is located on King Street, past Oahu Market, on the makai side of the street.
