Last Saturday I visited Multnomah Village (a cute little SW enclave) and stumbled upon an art gallery that was inviting and not intimidating although it is beautiful and filled with upscale treasures. The director is very charming and friendly, unlike some galleries where the staff either stares you down or ignores you completely. He seemed genuinely interested in talking about the artwork and artists- more like a docent at a museum than the proprietor of a business. He was quite knowledgeable about not only the works gracing his walls but of many genres and periods of art history. I will definitely visit Le Meitour Gallery again!
Pros: Stunning art, friendly director
Cons: Limited parking
