I live very close to this restaurant and have made a concerted effort to like it. However, each time I give it a try, I am disappointed. The food is overpriced for the portion sizes. The service is consistently lackadaisical, at best. During a dinner, my food was set on the counter by the cook. He then repeatedly rang the bell for the server, who was out of sight on a smoke break. Frustrated with the wait, I claimed the food myself before it got cold. Another time I entered the restaurant, and the servers did not get up from the table they were sitting at to greet me. I ordered a capaccino to go for $4. It was less than 8 oz, and the milk was burnt. The most business Le Gamin will see from me is a to go soup order now and then. The vegetable medley is very good. Too bad this place can't get its act together. The neighborhood has a limited number of restaurants.
Pros: It's there for desperate times.
Cons: Poor service, overpriced menu.
