I am embarrassed that people come to New York and go to Le Cirque expecting the best meal of their lives... My dinner was unacceptably prepared and I am normally the content diner, but my Black Angus Steak was so over-cooked it was inedible. The crux of making the experience miserable was not the disappointment in the food, but rather the service being excruciatingly horrible - not one person, except the bus boy who cleared my uneaten steak exclaiming ""you no like you steak (shrug),"" asked how our meal was; therefore, I could not even request a rarer version. I have a feeling that to the average-person (out-of-towner, down-towner) it is a costly and disappointing experience - however, a regular or well know New Yorker would indeed attest that Le Cirque lives up to its critiques - so if you go pretend to be someone or a food critic!
Pros: Beautiful Hotel, Convenient location
Cons: Expensive, Lowsy food, Horrible service
