I went there for highlights and a cut. I left with completely damaged, uneven hair that has to be fixed. I'm willing to pay a lot if my hair is going to be fabulous when I walk out the door. This salon RUINED my hair. WORD OF ADVICE -- GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! more

I went to luxe den to get my hair highlighted for my first time ever.. I was pretty nervous but when I walked in everyone made me feel so comfortable right away. they talked to me about what I would like to hav done to my hair until I was comfortable with it and sent me to Natasha, who is probably the best hairdresser I know and an extremely cool person. She transformed my hair and now i cant stop looking at it.. Thanks so much to everyone who works there and thanks to Natasha.. ill def be coming back :) more

I have tried Luxe Den a couple of times now. I have been in for Manicure/Pedicure & Blowdry - Both were wonderful. For starters the receptionist & the girls who took care of me were all very sweet & accommodating. They do an amazing blowdry with curls at the end that lasts for days & days! Needless to say, I would definitely recommend this place for either of these services :) more

I was here the other day and got a French Manicure & Pedicure. I am really happy with the service they provided - not only is the place beautiful but the girls who do the service are so nice and careful. They really do a thorough job on the actual mani and pedi. I hate when the nail tech just gets the polish nice but does a really quick job on everything before that. Plus they do their nail services on the second floor which gives a nice view of the street. The prices are really fair for what they do. Worth checking them out! more

What a great experience! I had no idea where to get my haircut being new in the city. I read great reviews of this place and was so happy to see they came true! I was helped right away and soon after brought to a very friendly, knowledgeable stylist. She gave me some great tips on products to use and gave me a fabulous haircut that would help make my curly hair stand out (I usually straighten it). She also listened to what I wanted and didn't get scissor happy. I bought a recommended product and was helped at the register by a very friendly staff member. The price was SO reasonable for a shampoo, cut, and diffuse. No complaints! Will definitely go back for my hair and to check out their other services. more

I had made an appointment to get my haircut at this salon and when I showed up I was greeted by my stylist. She was pleasant and very knowledgeable with the way she consulted with me about my cut, that I decided she would be the one to do my color as well. I got the best highlights and cut I've ever gotten in a city salon for years. I'm so excited I finally found a midtown, unpretentious, reasonable priced, with amazing stylists salon...As for the nail and waxing department? It was more than bearable, they use some chocolate wax that is great for sensitve gals. Overall, great place with great staff, top of the line products and color. I am happy! Thanks guys! more

This salon is unprofessional and extremely rude. I went in for a basic hair cut and left completely unsatisfied. When I was getting my hair washed she was clumsy and kept getting a ton of water in my ears. When I told her what I wanted to do with my hair she was rude and kept telling me what to do and didn't work with me at all. When cutting my hair she didn't take time to smooth the edges, but simply chopped wherever she felt. I asked to her take the bangs shorter and she got frustrated and chopped them with chunks hanging out. When I told her to fix them she did a half ass job and pushed them back. I went to go pay and I got completely screwed over. I was told it would be one price and got charged $17 over that price. I am extremely frustrated with the whole situation and am now sitting at home trimming areas she missed or refused to fix. more

I came here on my lunch break to get a french manicure. The front desk quickly took care of me, brought me upstairs and had a nail tech take care of me asap. I was offered something to drink which was really nice especially considering the prices here aren't crazy. Also, I ended up getting my brows threaded which came out nice and even. This place has a nice staff and a beautiful looking space. Luxe Den is my new nail place! more

So, I heard about this place from a few girlfriends that went there for a mani-pedi party. They raved about it, so I decided to give them a call to schedule an appointment to get my hair done. I showed up, and met IIianna. She talked to me for a few minutes to figure out what would be good for my hair. I decided to get color and a cut. I am so happy!!! my hair has never looked this good! She gave me nice layers, and my color looks so luxurious and healthy. I totally recommend this place, I'm definitely going back for manis and pedis as well. Try it, they Are way awesome!!! I was referred to Luxe Den by a girlfriend of mine and absolutely loved it! I waited for my hair stylist, Danile while sipping on a glass of wine. He was very easy to talk to, LISTENED to what I wanted (I brought in a picture) and kept me entertained while my color sat. He also took his time. Even though I was one of the last appointments of the day, he maintained quality in his work and didn't rush through the color and cut. I was the last person in the salon and left completely ecstatic with BEAUTIFUL blonde highlights and a trendy, blunt cut (think Reece Witherspoon). In addition, the receptionist was extremely helpful and suggested a strong conditioning Aveda treatment that I LOVE. I will certainly return! Highly recommended! more

I booked a color correction consultation today at Luxe Den salon. After spending countless of hours researching the best salons in NYC and spending $3000 in the last year to get my color just right, this salon was my savior. I went inside without any expectations, after all, I just wanted a consultation and if all went well, I was prepared to make an appointment later this week. After being greeted and seated, my stylist Lynsey approached me and sat down next to me on the couch. She asked me what I thought was wrong with my color, and what I wanted/expected my hair to look like. She picked up a magazine and asked me to look through it, pointing to the color that I thought would look best on me. After explaining to her my wishes, she told me exactly what she thought was wrong and how she planned to fix things. I felt so comfortable and at ease with her that I decided to get my hair done right then and there. I was a little nervous after all the heartbreaks at other top-notch, elite salons that left me crying for days and having to expand my collection of hats to cover up their mistakes. Lynsey told me what she was doing and she seems to be an expert on how hair coloring works. After she was done, my brassy blonde locks were toned and natural looking. She styled my hair the way I asked her to, left me with a mirror to look and touch my hair, and then came back asking if I was happy with the result. Needless to say, I was. We discussed how to maintain the look and I asked her to recommend a few products, which she did without any pressure to buy. I found myself in midtown west for business and needed a hair cut. I walked right in and was actually lucky to get in to see one of the stylists right away. The stylist (a very good looking, extremely smart russian girl who speaks like 5 languages!) did a fantastic job with my haircut. She listened to exactly what I wanted, took her time and hooked it up. I also got a great massage/head rub from the shampoo girl. This is definitely one of the best mens hair cuts I've had in a while...and it wasn't too expensive at all. Very fair price. I highly recommend them. I came here because it is close to my apartment and had good reviews online. I have had very bad luck with coloring at salons in the past. My hairdresser was Mariana. I told her that I wanted to go back to the color of my roots (which were lighter then the color of my last dye job) and take all of the brassiness that was in my hair from my last faded dye job. After all was said and done, the color wasnt that much lighter, but pretty much allll of the brassiness was gone!!!!!!!! I was very impressed. Compared to my last coloring job, the results that Mariana was able to provide were fantastic. As for the cut : She definetly listened to what I wanted...and WAS NOT scissor happy. Lots of hairdressers say they are going to do one thing and then do what they want to do, telling you it will be better. Mariana definetly understood that cutting hair is about what the customer wants...not what the hairdresser wants!! I am always scared to get bangs.......the last person (at a world class salon) butchered them. I let them grow all the way and was just now getting bangs again for the first time in a year. Mariana helped me decide how deep the bangs should be and where we should part the hair. She cut it exactly like the picture....and once again....was not scissor happy..chopping up my bangs to within an inch of my forehead (like my last salon disaster). They were the perfect length by the time she was done! I have never been so happy with bangs before! And.....she always asked for my imput to make sure I liked what she was doing. I have been looking for a salon to become a regular at, and I think I've finally found the place! The girl who does the shampoos was super sweet and considerate, however, the older man at the counter was kind of rude and unconcerned....which created quite an unwelcoming vibe.....but after all is said and done....I will definetly go back to Mariana to get my trim! Being a natural blonde and living in Miami for a long time always made hair color an easy issue for me. When I moved to NY in September I decided to go brunette. I loved my hair color but after a while I missed my blonde locks. After spending too much money in NY on shopping and going out I wanted to spend less then $300 to have blonde hair again. I made an appointment at Luxe Den and the service was amazing. Ann Marie was friendly and very conversational. They served me a glass of wine and used bumble and bumble products to keep my hair from drying out. I then decided to get a cut and it was perfection. I like a lot of layers and angles for body along with bangs and she cut my hair so much better than expected. The customer service is amazing and I?m hoping to book a mani/pedi tomorrow! I am a pedicure lover, and after I recently changed jobs, I decided to be a little more economical about my finances. The salon and spa where I used to get my pedicure was now out of my price range, but my feet would suffer if my routine changed? Anyways, I heard about Luxe Den and checked out their website for pricing, and to my delight, they were affordable and trendy at the same time. I had no wait and the service was excellent. My feet are in great shape and I will continue to go back to them on a regular basis. Pros: Clean, & good selection of polishes Cons: none come to mind more

I found this salon online and was happy with the reviews, so I decided to make an appointment for a haircut and a waxing. I got there a few minutes before my appointment and was out the door within half an hour. However, I received a ton of attention, and had a great consultation with my stylist (Natasha) who was super confident and gave me exactly the cut I was looking for. They also use an awesome (and amazing smelling!) chocolate wax. For a haircut, blowout and wax, the total was $76 (not including tip) which I consider to be very reasonable. I had been in need for a hair cut for the longest time. I was determined to get it done today. I work in Manhattan, so to wait to get home to The Bronx was out of the question. So I decided to go online, and find a salon around my work area, since I had to get it done during my lunch hour. I came across Luxe Den Salon & Spa, read and was happy with the reviews, & it was right around the corner. I made an appointment online and it was confirmed in less than 30min. I came for nail service. The lady took me downstairs. Her name was Elena. There were a lot of customers. She was going to do wax for me. But I said I don't need wax, I need manicure and pedicure. The lady looked upset and took me upstairs. Mani and pedi was done in 30 minutes. My technician was on the phone most of the time. I had no chance to ask a question or have any conversation. I looked around and noticed that other technicians were on the phone as well. After the job was done a lady gave me a small envelope and told me to put tip inside. She also said that if I don't have small bills for tip she can give me a change. I can't believe technicians can force you for a tip. The new colors on my nails looked awefull. The next day I felt depressed when looked to my nails. I decided to remove the colors from my nails. I WILL NEVER EVER COME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN, AND I RECOMMEND YOU DON'T GO THERE TOO. My hair needed to be re-highlited because the last person who did my hair highlites (at Jeffrey Stein) totally screwed it up. My hair needed to be died back to it's natural shade to get rid of the overhighliting and then re-highlited. The lady who cut my hair was Anna Marie, and she was very very accommodating and explained the procedure I needed to me in a very nice manner. She did a beautiful job-it looks very natural. She also cut my hair precisely how I wanted to and gave me a very good deep conditioning treatment. She told me that I am not leaving this salon unhappy and she would do everything to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. The only thing I would complain about is that I had to wait about 30 min. to get my eyebrows done. But, as for the hair services, I am very pleased and can't wait to go back. The gentleman at the front desk was also very respectful and helpful. I was not expecting to spend the extra money to have my hair re-dyed but I'm glad I did because it looks great now. I was hesitant to go there, but now I will go back again and again. I can't wait till my next hair cut. Pros: Great haircut and color services Cons: Waited a while to get eyebrows waxed more
