Inconsiderate management leaves their bar doors open, permiting the noise from their bar to permeate the homes across California Street. A thoughtful solution would be to permanently closed the California Street entrances/balcony, and use only the Presidio Street entrance. more

Laurel Inn is great for wedding guests 4/13/2006

Another terrific hotel in town is the Laurel Inn. Around 20 of our wedding guests stayed there and really liked it. It's close to the Presidio (where we got married), Laurel Heights, and not too far from Golden Gate Park and Pacific Heights. It's not in the downtown core so if that's what you're looking for for your wedding guests, then I'd skip it. If the location is good, then give them a call. Reserving a block of rooms for the wedding wasn't a problem and they were really accomodating in terms of gift bags in rooms etc. The rooms are pretty reasonably priced as well. more
