John has extensive knowledge about all major components of the house (electrical, plumbing, foundation, structure, sewer, roofing, furnace, masonry, drainage, rot, insects, etc) and provided the most detailed report I've ever seen from an inspector--including photos of problems. He took the time to show and explain his findings clearly to us so we understood the problems and possible solutions. His report gave us a lot of leverage with the seller and seriously helped remove "surprises" that we might have encountered months after closing. Highly, highly recommend. more

John is in independent owner of his real estate inspection firm and he does a great job for his clients. I work with both investor and residential clients and John has done the majority of the inspections for transactions that my clients get involved in. His reports are comprehensive and provide excellent detail - including digital photos embedded into the reports - which is quite helpful when negotiating the elements of an inspection once it has been completed. All properties have some kind of work that they need done and John does a great job of helping sort out those items. I also like his flexibility and reasonable pricing. There was an eastside firm I used for a while before meeting John and they were more rigid on when they could be available. For clients that only have weekends available to them to complete these aspects of a purchase it's important to be available on their schedule. John is usually able to accommodate - the only time he can't is when he's already booked with other clients. All in all, he's great to do business with! more
