Great hair coloring! I'm so happy with the beautiful hair color I received at Lasio last week. Katy is an expert colorist, truly an artist at selecting and applying the perfect hair color to compliment your face and skin tone.She did an amazing job restoring my too-blond, unevenly highlighted hair to a gorgeous warm brown. then painstakingly painted on some very natural-looking cognac highlights. I've gotten many compliments on my hair-- It looks great! The salon has a relaxed and friendly yet professional atmosphere, set by its gracious and welcoming manager, Hank. It's a small space, so can get a bit cramped when busy, but I hear they'll be moving to larger digs soon. More room for these talented professionals to work their magic! more

had the Lasio keratin treatment and I agree with one of the other reviewers - my harid has more split ends now than it EVER has...did it over highlights because I've done other keratin treatments and knew it ""conditioned"" the hair versus destroying - so distraught - can't believe my hair is so shot - definitely noticed immediately after first shampoo that hair was not in same condition - totally hoping constant condition will stop breakage. more

I've used Lasio's treatment for almost one year. Its effective hair care treatment always gives me high satisfaction. So I came here to see reviews but I am a little sad because there are small reviews for their nice product. If anybody was unhappy due to frizzy hair or unmanageable hair, try this product. Since the baby, I have been losing hair and also the strength and getting harder to manage. With the referral from one of my friends, I booked the Brazilian Keratin Hair Straightening Treatment at Lasio Studios in East Village and WOW, I feel so much younger and energetic again for how I look now for the first time in 10 years!!! Stephanie was so friendly and sweet that we chatted all hours throughout the treatment, and when it was finally done, the silky, shiny straight hair with volume made me dancing on my toes all the way back to my apartment! Oh yeah, we all need the little time for our own being and these couple of hours I spent for myself keep brining me so much new vital energy and cheers every minute! just had my hair done at Lasio Studio on 3/10/2010 and I must say it was the worst experience in my life. I have tight curly hair and a lot of hair. I was sensitive or allergic to the chemical in the BKT. I didn't know that the product could give you burning sensation in your throat, head and mouth. First, I couldn't breathe, my scalp, my throat and my nose was burning so much, i felt like I was going to pass out. My eyes were tearing. My hairdresser did not offer to end the product or to stop until I said I need a break, I need water, I need to go to the restroom because my nose was full of mucus to protect me from this chemical. I allowed them to continue because I said they must know what they are doing and they said to me, ""we had another client who was sensitive like you earlier today."" She continued while I was requesting a towel, a mask because my face was burning. She just kept saying you are sensitive to the product. The reason why I am giving this such a low review is because if you are putting a chemical that has side effect and causes sensitivity in people there must be a warning to let people know that or a test done to find out if you are sensitive to the product or not. The test is very easy, all they have to do is spray the product in your hair and you will find out. It seems that Lasio is more concerned about making money than they are concerned about people health. Formaldehyde which is in the product causes cancer, and respiratory problems. If I had known beforehand that there was a posibility of being sensitive to the chemical in the product I would have never done it. I actually regret putting this thing in my hair. I should have just left my hair curly and have it blow dried when I need it straight. I would not advise anyone to do this on a regular basis. If you are sensitive to chemicals, or have sinus problems or any respiratory problem stay away from this product and save your health. Your health is not worth cancer. Find a formaldehyde free BKT and get it done. I am in my first day of having this in my hair and I am still having problems breathing and my scalp is still burning a little. Not as much as when I had it done. My message- Lasio should not do this procedure on people that are sensitive. Money is not worth someone's life. Save your health, save your money.. Although they said to wash this product after 4 days, I am going to wash it out now because of how my nose feels and my head feels... Cons: Beware the treatment has Formaldehyde which can make u sick more

I have insanely frizzy hair that seemed hopeless....did the brazilian at another salon and had so so results that lasted about 3 weeks. Walked through the east village into this little gem and every person there had or was in the midst of obtaining gorgeous shiny hair!!! I had not asked for a specific person and that made me nervous.... but every tech there is beyond amazing. Sweet, professional, and... AMAZING!! And their customers service is nuts, can i get you anything, everything ok.... one women had to wait 10 minutes and then there was an issue with the sink. They gave her 20% off because she had to rebook. You cannot beat that, things happen and they try to make it right!! And my hair... i can't believe it, soft, silky, healthy and no frizz!! Pros: results, technicians, cute space more

ALTHOUGH THEY CLAIM THE BRAZILIAN STRAIGHTENING SHOULD LAST 3-4 MONTHS MINE LASTED 3 WEEKS AT BEST!!!! I PAID 500 DOLLARS FOR 3 WEEKS OF NOT SO STRAIGHT HAIR THIS IS FLAT OUT GARBAGE! DO NOT COME HERE - THEY FALSE ADVERTISE!!!! Cons: BRAZILIAN STRAIGHTENING DOESN'T LAST MORE THAN A MONTH more

Frankly, I am shocked with the review below. The staff at Lasio could never be described as uneducated on Brazilians... they're the experts! When I first came to them, I had plenty of questions, and they were ALL answered first on the phone, once again in person when I arrived... they have the best prices, a cute space (which can hardly be described as sloppy), and they know what they're talking about. Plus they do hair like nobodys business. They are extremely accomodating and make you feel like a million bucks when you're there and look like a million bucks when you leave! LASIO staff....you ALL rock!!! I walked in having a horrible, long day and you ALL made me feel so great. My consultation for coloring and the brazilian straightener was so intailed. I had read about it, but not think these results were truly possible. My hair has body, shine and always looks professionally done.
