The first time I got a laser facial, I looked crazy after it and thought, "what the hell did I do to myself?". This is because they have to cover your freshly abated skin with vaseline to protect it. I had to stay home for the first day or two, since I looked like a burn victim. (Do NOT drive yourself there.) I applied the cream carefully every day until the fresh new skin started to show. After that, I switched to Cetaphil. The next time I saw my friend, she remarked about how beautiful and light my skin looked. (I moved here from the East Coast and the SoCal sun has done a job on my skin.)
They dont' overcharge you, since there are 2 different kinds of procedures, one for maintaining good skin and one for the more "weathered" of us out there. They can also do your hands and the decolletage area.
I should add that they use a fan over the areas that they are doing and it only feels like a gentle rubber band "snapping" on your skin when he starts each area. Considering what you're having done, it's not uncomfortable at all.
