When my furnace conked out in December, I called Larry to come take a look. As it turned out the motor was shot. Larry gave me an honest assessment of the state of the furnace: he could repair or replace the motor and it would work for another 10+ years, and the blowers were also nearing the end of their life - in another two years they'd need replacing too. While he could repair it and would have been happy to do so, we decided it would make just as much sense to get a new one since the total cost of repair would have only been a couple hundred bucks less than a new furnace.
I really appreciated Larry's honest assessment, and I got a new furnace from someone else (because he just does repairs).
