We've used Lane K Dyck for 4 inspections. The 1st house we had built, and they inspected all the stages of construction. They came back a year later so that we could squeeze in some more items before the 1-year warranty was up. For our 2nd house, they just did a pre-close and a pre-one year warranty inspection. There was an article in the St Pete Times back in the late 90s where Lane K Dyck was described as the "Deal Killers" because they found so many things in an inspection, that the prospective buyers would drop out. That's the type of people you need when you buy a new home in the Tampa bay area. That way you can squeeze ever last fix & repair from the builder and his shoddy contractors. Their inspection reports are generally pretty lengthy, as they find EVERYTHING.
