Placed a service call for our refrigerator, the vegetable bins were freezing our veggies. Jeff came out, pulled out the draws, reset the temperature controls said to wait a week & see what happen didn't know what was wrong & charged us $90.00. A week later vegetables were still freezing, placed 3 calls to have him call me back finally did, gave me a price to order a part (don't know what he was ordering, guess I should have asked) I advise him I would call him back. Called the office set up an appointment with the women who answerd the phone to fix the refrigeator. On the day of the appointment received a call early in the a.m. to confirm & was asked if I wanted to make it for earlier durning the day, said that would be fine. Received a call a few minutes later & was asked what was order, I told her I didn't know. Well neither did she & no one else knew what was going on, I was asked to wait until the following Monday when Jeff returned from vacation. Monday came & went no call, I called on Tuesday, told Nancy I was unsatisifed with the service I received she put Bob on the phone, went over the situation with him, told him I would call a certified GE repairman & to refund me my money which he agreed to an apologized. Then Nancy & Jeff called, Jeff said I never got back to him, told him Ididn't have his number called the office & told whoever answered the phone to order what was needed & set up appointment. He said the part wasn't order because no deposit was given, I was never asked for a deposit. Just told him to end it here send me my money back. A week later I called because I didn't recieve my money back. Nancy answered, wouldn't let me speak with Bob, didn't want to speak with her, she is obnoxious & rude & needs training in customer service. Anyway she would sent back my money, told me I never had an appointment..how can that be I asked when somone called to confirm, she didn't know what to say about that...then told me she could belive I was acting so foolish over $90.00, and hung up on me! \r
I can't believe they are stil in business, in reviewing this site and Consumer Affairs there are numerous complaints about Lane Appliance in North Haven, I only wished I had checked on them before having them come to my house, a lesson learned for the future. Needless to say I called GE directly, they came out & fixed the refrigeator, it was an electrical problem which goes to show that Jeff didn't even know what the problem was. \r
Go elsewhere..they people are horrible!
