If you bring your equipment to Lancer for service you will be hastily greeted by the owner Jim DeGroot. He is an arrogant small old man with a very rude demeanor. He has no phone ethic and certainly no personality. He is what you might call a PRICK! The shop is dingy and dark, kinda like Jims mind. Jim is more concerned with taking your money than offering a word of advice, knowledge or solution. If you question the cost you will get an immature side of Jim. He will start to raise his girly voice and try to intimidate you into having his shop do the work. If you start questioning him further he will tell you to leave and don't come back. I left. Glad I did. Saved me over $100 dollars and a lot of headaches. His prices are an out of touch $80 an hour. He will charge you $50 to even look at it. He will then call you with an outlandish cost to have it fixed. I took my hard earned money elsewhere and was treated like I expect. \r I know people will read this and say ""well he had a bad experience and is mad"" you would be right! But, I wish I would have researched the internet for an hour and investigated on my own. I would have found several complaints against Lancers for issues I have covered. I would have never taken my equipment to him if I had just done a little more research.\r Do Not take you warranty products to him either...find another place. \r \r DO NOT GO TO LANCERS. You have been warned. STAY AWAY! more

I employed their services on multiple occasions for the same television. They are not customer-friendly. They can be very curt. The last time they ""fixed"" my set, I had told them on numerous occasions about a secondary symptom being the display light at the bottom of the television not going off ever unless you manually go into the settings every single time you turn on the tv and turn the light to the ""off"" setting. This is a malfunction because the set obviously should have your setting saved when you turn the set off and remember the setting upon turning it back on. Anyway, after they replaced a major component that caused my set to have a extremely delayed display when turning on the television, that also fixed the display light problem. Within a couple of days of the fix, I spoke with them on the phone and thanked them for their service and made sure to speak on the display light problem that was also fixed as a result of the main repair. Within weeks of that, I called to tell them the display light problem was back, and they tried to play games with me and pretend they didn't have any recollection or record of that symptom, so they are not obligated to honor their repair warranty, especially since they knew my television's warranty was up and they would have to come out of their own pocket for honoring their warranty. Very poor business ethics, if you ask me. The delayed display upon the initial turn on of my set is back too, of course, which tells me this set doesn't have long to go. The television is less than 6 years old. They do seem to be knowledgeable on televisions, including Samsungs, to somewhat dispute another review on this site. I just don't feel like I'd ever trust them again to do any future repairs. more

Their technicians have zero clue when it comes to Samsung TVs, their owner refuses to process Samsung warranty claims, and frankly appear to not care about customers unless you are paying the full trip charge. Samsung pays a per call warranty amount for repairs, and apparent Mr. DeGroot doesn't feel that is enough. Pros: Can't find a single pro. Cons: The owner is cantankerous and very unfriendly - this clearly sets the bar for their technicians nice and low also more
