These guys are the best!\r \r I've taken 7 cars to them, from my old Miata to my band new Camaro and they always treat me right. There's no reason why anyone else should be tinting your windows. These guys have out done themselves each time with perfect tinting, top notch installs, and great service. Yea it may cost a little bit more than those mobile guys, but these people have been around for almost 20 years! These come and go mobile guys will be gone within the next 3.\r \r If you're even thinking about getting your windows tinted. or even a set of wheels. These guys will spend time with you to make sure you find and get exactly what you want and need!\r \r Now all I need them to do is come out and tint my house. more

I've been going to Lam's since before I could drive. My dad was going here for as long as I can remember. When I got my first car he brought me in to get the windows tinted and new wheels. These guys are like family to me and I've even stopped in to just sit and talk (if they're not to busy)\r \r Customer service is great and they greet you with a smile. I don't know how these other people are rating badly, but I've seen these guys go out of their way to make customers happy, the owners even lent out his own vehicle so a couple could go grab lunch just because they mentioned being hungry.\r \r But when I buy a new car. I'm bringing it to Lam's to make sure I get the same quality work and friendly environment that they are really known for. more

Terrible Service & They Could Care Less 12/26/2012

I called Lam's Motorsports and let them know I was driving over an hour from Marietta to have them look at the remote start they had installed on my vehicle that was not working. The guy on the phone said no problem bring it in. I arrived around 10:00 AM and the guy at the counter said they had a job they were working on and could I come back at 1:00 PM? I said NO! I drove over an hour to get here and I can?t come back. He walked in the back and came back out and said could I wait 45 minutes? OK, so I left to grab something to eat came back 45 minutes later and the same thing happened. He walked in the back came back out and said his electrician is working on a job and couldn?t even look at it till 1:00 PM. I told him I wanted to see the owner and conveniently the owner (Sonny) was not there but due back soon, so I waited for an hour standing there in the store to see if he would show up. In that time 3 customers came in, 2 of them looked around got no service and left whi more

Won't be returning to Lam's 3/19/2012

Took my first car when I was 16 to Lam's to have the windows tinted, the tint was flawless. So I assumed it was a no brainer when I bought my BRAND NEW 2011 Lexus IS 250 F-Sport to have the windows tinted at Lam's I waited 2 weeks to take my car. Dropping off my car and explaining what I wanted was quick and easy I even explained to the owners’ son that I was in NO RUSH and to take their time. 45 mins later, my car is done so I head outside to check it out and noticed a few places in the tint where there were bubbles that I knew would not dry out! So the man who did my tint came out and pushed them out and I expressed my concerns with him he said wait two weeks for it to dry out and then come back if it is not right. I left and on the way home I noticed where they had slung whatever they use in between the tint and the glass all into my speakers and my doors. NO CARE WAS TAKEN, COMPLETE RUSH JOB. Then when I got to my home and could really look the car over I see that they had BURNED the acrylic black gloss columns that are on all the doors. THIS WAS A BRAND NEW CAR HOW COULD A COMPANY WITH A REPUTATION BE SO CARELESS? I rushed back to Lam's before they closed and ultimately they did pay to have the pieces replaced at my dealership. more

I have been reading these reviews and im dumbfounded at the negative ratings... I live here in Gainesville and have been taking all my vehicles to Lams for over 20 yrs.... I have always been treated with respect and wonderful service and a great product. In fact I would never take mine anywhere else... As to why those others had a bad experience.. One maybe a compeator or I just dont know..Mr. Lam is always on sight and willing to help and his 3 sons and wife also works there... A family business ( I like that).. And most everyone I know also frequents Lams... I thought I would just speak my mind on this matter... hope this helps more

I called Lams Motorsports to get a quote,on my 4 dr. car was quoated 140.00, and appointment brought car in . It took about an hour and a half, The sale people explained not to roll windows down 3 days, and if i had any problems to bring it back. I did have a small bubble, brought it back in , they fixed the bubble and apolygized for the inconvience.They were very nice and helpful. I would recomend Lams Motorsports to everyone. Great service, work, and really nice people. more

took my 07 4runner in for window tint, they did an excellent job.also had new sound system...(my husband had to have this) I have been coming to Lams for over 10 yrs. Always nice friendly people and wonderful work.I seen the other reviews and honestly don't beleive that, (or maybe u got on Ms. Lams last nerve..lol) But as I stated over 10 yrs. my husband is in there all the time getting something for his truck... And always comes home with a smile on his face when he shows me his new goodie.I dont think I would ever go anywhere else. I really appreciate the friendly staff and nice owners. I felt like they cared about me and my husband .A++++++++++ Pros: hometown people,great work, Cons: none, i really liked them more

Worst Experience Ever!!!! 3/25/2010

I was looking for window tinting for my car, and Lam's was in town. My boss called for me to get a quote and specifically described my vehicle. She told me what they quoted her, and it sounded like a very good deal, so I called to see how long it would take and also to verify the quote. I described my car to a T, and they quoted me the same price they had given my boss and said that it would take about an hour and a half. So we drove over there, and spoke with the owner's wife. She came out, looked at my car and said, "No problem!". About 45 minutes later, I get a phone call at work saying,"Sorry, we didn't know that it was a wagon, so it will be $120.00 more.". I was FURIOUS!! Considering that 2 people had called and gotten the same quote. They then argued with me saying I wasn't specific enough with the description of my car, which was total crap.We agreed on a price(stupid me), and I just told them to go ahead.\r After 4 days, I rolled down my driver's side window, and it completely more

They were extremely rude and just to get my car out of there I agreed to give them $15.00. Once again, stupidity on my part. Once I get into my car, I realize that they have changed my radio station to an obscene channel and it was BLARING, on top of the driver side mirror had been pushed away from the car(so automatically the driver will roll down the window to fix it and ruin the crap tint job). Talk about childish! Plus the new tint job on that window looks like crap! As an earlier review said, I would not send my worst enemy to LAM'S ""MORON""SPORTS!!! Edit - Delete more

Lam's Motorsports offers terrible customer services 7/29/2009

Very Disappointed! I made a phone call before traveling several miles to Gainesville to get a price on window tint. I explained my vehicle to a T as well as exactly what I wanted. I was given a price along with an explanation of the warranty, as well as the fact that they used Lumar tint. Then I was told to "bring it on up, we can have it done in an hour." Upon my arrival, the clerk was working with another customer as I patiently waited 30 minutes. After my wait, the clerk acknowledged I was there and our phone conversation, he went to the back of the store for a while and returned to begin to stare through the front windows and out at my vehicle. After a few minutes he turned to me and stated... I quoted you wrong on your vehicle, and suggested a price significantly higher than the price quoted over the phone after receiving a clear description of my vehicle. Horrible Window Tint Job & Customer Service Lams Gainesville 6/5/2009

We brought our car back 3 times after they did the window tint job to have it replaced. Each time we were given attitude and excuses. Each time it looked worse than the first job. Finally we were told to ""go buy some tint from WAL-MART & do it ourselves"".. this was after paying them and taking 3 days off from work. Dust and creases everywhere, they scratched one window which the dealer wants over $600 to replace and we were told by the owners wife to ""get the Fu*& out of here"" and by the store manager to ""Fu*% Off"". We did not come there demanding a refund or with any sort of attitude.. we simply brought the car back to allow them to fix their poor job (which even the manager said looked like Sh&t). We were treated like garbage and left with a window tint job which we now have to pay someone else to remove and re-install. NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!! Cons: I was flat out told to Fu*@ Off !!! more

I'm not sure how the owner himself is, but the employees there are ignorant. They dont care about customer satisfaction at all. I have had rims put on, a system put in, and window tint added and nothing has ever been right, and they are unwilling to work with you. I will never let them do anything for me again. I suggest that you dont either. I'm firm on this. more
