Good Specialties 9/5/2006

La Casa has some good specialty plates, but their traditional dishes aren't terribly inspiring. Atmosphere, however, is good, as is the service. I can, however, only think of one other place in Houma that serves better Mexican and I tend to avoid it because the atmosphere feels very cold. All in all, probably Houma's best Mexican restaurant. more

Great Mexican food. 3/20/2006

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is really nice and you can go next door and hear some music in the bar. Their fajitas (chicken, steak or shrimp) are the best. I also love their frozen Pina Colada. I have had Pina Colada's at a lot of different places, but I only get them from La Casa now, because they are the best I have ever tasted. more

Hungry for Mexican 9/29/2005

I have lived in Houma my entire life and have just recent ly discovered La Casa. My neighbors wanted to go for supper and suggested here..all I can say it THANK YOU. They have the best mexican food here. The Happy Burito is great :)) more

Don't have to cross the border 8/23/2005

You dont have to cross the border to get some good mexican dishes. They great tasting dishes. The salsa dip here is delicious. I think it's the best I've tasted. Great marquritas served here too. I really like the beef chimichangas. The staff is friendly and your food is always hot when served. more

I have been to Mexico and tasted their dishes and La Casa del sol taste far from authentic with the prices for the food outrageous... I suppose this place gets alot of buisness because they have no competition in houma or at the other location in thibodaux. However the bar is great, I will give it that. But I would take the drive to morgan city for authentic mexican food. more
