Your children deserve something better 7/8/2011

After I enrolled my son I realized the baths smells terrible. One day I need they take care of my son for a couple hours after the vpk time, for a medical reason and The petite charged me 75 dollars, 50 for the registration and 25 for the rest of the day. The children take their naps at the halls, because the center is too little. The walls needs new paint. The teachers are kind and smiling all time. The vpk program is mediocre, my son never hadn't a homework or practice writing. Only reputation but no a good education. more

Remove the old nasty comment they are not true 1/21/2011

Why are the negative reviews still on top. They are so old they should be deleted. This school is very clean. The teachers and managment are nice people. They go out of their way to help you and treat the children with love and care. I have to agree that these old reviews sound like bitter ex-employees that could not get what they wanted. Thier comments sound personal and not helpful at all. I would recomend this school to anyone who is looking for quality childcare at a reasonable price. You get what you pay for. Yes you could probably go down the street and pay a little less but you will not get the same quality of care as you would at La Petite. I toured some other places but chose this location because of how they welcomed me and my child on our visit and everyday since. I would like to thank and praise all the teachers that work hard everyday to care for my child and all the other children they care for in a day. I could not do their job and would not want to. I love more

Very Pleased 1/11/2011

I was pleasently surprised that the reviews posted on this site or so not true. This is a very nice clean school. Actually on of the cleanest centers in the area. I have had nothing but great experiences here. All the teachers a pleasant and polite. They truely care for the children and you can tell by the way the children run and hug them. My child loves going to school and talks about his teachers all the time. It sounds like to me and by the information that was posted by others that these were not actual parents but maybe former teachers. These teachers sound childish and are trying to give this center a bad name. How would a parent know if they had money to buy bread or how the teachers were treated by the MNG unless a teacher sat and talked to them instead of watching the childen. If that was the case then this teacher was not doing her job and supervising the children. So that may be why they got in trouble by the manager. more

Excellent 1/8/2011

If this school was realy that nasty why would you continue to take your child there. If I saw roaches everywhere I would turn around and walk out the door with my child. It sounds like this is some pettty teachers who were made to do thier job and could not handle doing it properly so are trying to take it out on the school. If you were to walk in the doors of this school we would see for your self that none of this is true and all the teachers are loving and caring. As for the Assistant Director Emma she is the one that keeps this school going. With out her most of the teachers would walk out. Again it sounds like some childish teachers could not handle doing their jobs and did not like bieng told to do their jobs properly. more

Pleasantly Surprised After Reading Previous Reviews 1/6/2011

Don't believe a word any of these reviews are saying. \r And if you do, then question their parenting for even letting their kids go in conditions like that for even a full day. What parent in their right mind would let their child go somewhere infested with roaches and where they believe they are being abused? That's just ridiculous. Based on these reviews people would probably not even give this La Petite a chance. If you walk in you will see thee exact opposite. On the subject of Emma, I believe these reviews were written by bitter past employee's who didn't like the way Emma stood her ground. \r \r Potential future families looking to go into La Petite, the staff is very friendly and will get to know you personally. I was VERY VERY apprehensive about even going to take a look around because of these reviews. Then reality set in, IF this were to happen then it would be SHUT DOWN! more

Unqualified teachers/ low pay 7/27/2010

The main problem with all these daycares is that they pay $7/hour but they charge around $210/week at the infant room and around $165 at the toddlers and they abuse the teachers asking them to clean toilettes and windows if is slow and they dont have enough kids in a room to keep the teacher busy. They put 2 classes together with 1 teacher and send the other onr home. They use a lot of unqualified teachers that are dessperate to \r Make some money more

I agree fully. 4/22/2009

The center is infested with roaches and they do not even have the money to buy bread for the kids lunches. Stay far away from this nasty place. The asst manager is a real loser also. I have talked to several teachers and they are quitting because of her nonprofessional towards them. They also have some great teachers but they are demoralized by Emma the Asst Director. Stay Away from this place more

School is Nasty!!! 9/2/2008

Children should not be forced to learn Spanish. It should be an option the parent should decide. I saw children at this school who spoke no English and their teachers did nothing to help them learn to speak English. \r As for the problem with roaches that should be dealt with immediately. I am relieved my child does not attend La Petite anymore. Her behavior has changed dramatically and she is excelling and loving her preschool. These daycares that are super chains like La Petite and Kindercare are not good schools. They take many shortcuts because the directors receive a larger annual bonus the more corners they cut. \r That would explain the bugs, lack of age appropriate toys and lack of quality teachers. more

children are..... 6/17/2008

children are capable of learning more than one language at the time. Roaches are one thing Spanish is not bad.is amazing to see a two year old BILINGUAL. more

INFESTED WITH ROACHES...Children constantly sick...SCREAMING STAFF 1/16/2008

My child was enrolled in the one year old classroom. Every time I have ever walked into that classroom I have seen roaches of all sizes crawling all over the floor and the counter top. The most disturbing sight was to see huge roaches crawling over the children's sippy cups. The teachers would pretend they weren't there and just shoo the roaches away and they'd crawl into the radio or in the outlet on the counter top. My child was constantly getting colds, diarrhea, and vomiting. I had to start asking the teachers to let me take my child's sippy cup home each night because the spout had mold growing in it. The walls in the room were filthy and the content on the walls was too old for one year olds to comprehend. I never witnessed the teachers actually teaching or engaging with the children. They'd yell at them if they would not stay still in their chairs. One of the teachers who is Spanish kept telling a child a word in Spanish when the child kept repeating the word in English more
