I primarily went to yoga class while on a month long trial at LA Fitness and I have to say that the power yoga class taught by Stacy was incredible. It was yoga at its best! She really pushes you (but provides varying levels for beginners through advanced) but also motivates by example. Workouts have a short relaxation period at the end which is the best part! I also tried the aqua aerobics which had a huge variety of ages participating. I thought it might be too "easy", but I was pleasantly surprised by the workout I received. In general yes there are a lot of buff men and women walking around which can be intimidating, but the staff is friendly and once you are familiar with the classes and layout you begin looking around less and concentrating on your workouts more.
