The 2 reasons to come to La Esperanza are for the guacamole, and what they call the 'sombrero'. Every time I've been here, the guacamole is as fresh and as good as any restaurant I've been to. The sombrero is an entree that kind of resembles the mexican pizza they sell at Taco Bell (but 3 times as large). And the sombrero is very good. The service here is usually fair to poor, and the place hasn't been remodeled since it took over from another restaurant 15-20 years ago.
Pros: great guacamole, decent portions
Cons: rough service , prices somewhat high
