I've moved several times in the past 5 years and this was the best experience by far! There are some very shady movers out there but I have to say this was an incredibly positive experience. From the first phone call, to the email follow-up and, in particular, on the day of the move Cheap Local Movers exceeded expectations. The crew called ahead, showed up on time, was pleasent and professional and executed my move from my storage unit, to my old house and then on to my new house all within 3 hours 15 mins! I used Cheap Local Movers to move from my 6th floor elevator building apartment in West Hollywood to Baltimore, MD last summer. They were amazing!!! Moving is usually pretty stressful, but these guys made it so easy for me. They finished loading in record time and drove straight through to deliver the same day!! All I had to do was relax on the Amtrak all the way down and meet them at my new place. They were friendly, the quote was fair and accurate, and there were no hidden fees. Let me preface this by saying I've moved a lot. 6 times in 8 years a lot. After moving this often I've come to dread moving day as its always stressful and you never know what you are going to get with a moving company. I called Remarkable Movers about three weeks ahead of my move date to get an estimate. Lenny came over and estimated we would need 24 boxes (there were 21) and 4 hours of move time (it took 3.5 hours) for my entire 1 bedroom apartment. The guys that came were incredibly professional, straightforward, on-time and moved everything quickly and safely. They took apart and reassembled the bed and even provided two wardrobe boxes for our clothes which I was planning to move myself. I was also planning to take my flat-screen TV with me but they had a special box with padding in the truck to move that as well. I don't let anyone touch the TV but I felt so comfortable with the guys I let them take it and there were no problems. This was BY FAR the best move that I have ever experienced and due to the professionalism displayed by the movers it was painless and stress free. I would highly recommend Remarkable Movers to anyone planning to hire a mover. more
