This resaurant is by far the best we have experienced in a very long time. As a business traveller I am exposed to so many good restaurants around the states, this tops them all....

Didn't expect food poisoning for my Anniversary Gift 3/18/2012

Positive reviews are why I decided to bring my wife here for our 21st wedding anniversary. However, there was nothing exceptional here. Atmosphere was OK and service was adequate.. but the food itself presented well but both of us ended up sick. I ordered the beef and prongs and my wife had the scallops. Since my wife only took ONE bite from my beef and only ended up with nausia the next day we figure it must have been the beef. I was as sick as a dog 6 hours later and the whole next day. Makes you wonder how they prepare and/or store the food back there. My wife's plate was the scallops. Didn't taste anything and the sauce was watery. The French bread and butter was good though. I was dissappointed since I wanted this to be a special occastion and ended up spending 2 to 3 times I normally spend on a date out with my wife just to end up sick. They didn't even offer a little anniversary perk... Very dissappointed and we will try a different French restaurant next time. BTW both my wife and I are FRENCH and know french food and know what the standards should be. This place, this night missed the mark! more

great resterant, poor location 10/21/2005

located in a rather run-down strip mall is a real gem of a resterant. La Boheme had superior service, gourmet food, superb wine list, but a poor location. When I go to a resterant to spend $100-plus dollars, I like the whole package. Pulling up to a strip mall doesn't exactly scream "ellegance". Once inside, though, the ambiance changes to a lovely French resterant with much style and flair. I can't say enough about the food. Some of the best in town. If you don't mind the location, it's deffinately worth it. more

French Restaurant 8/12/2005

This is a French restaurant. You are in for a treat. They have very unique types of dishes. They have elk, deer and other uniques types of meat that you wouldn't find in other French restaurants in Sacramento. The atmosphere is romantic. The lighting is dim and they have a fireplace which is nice in the winter. Parking is limited. The staff is friendly. They can help you with ordering. The restaurant is very expensive. You can usually find a buy one get one free in the Entertainment book. more
