Kulturas Books 4/10/2006

This is one of the great bookstores in the area. They have an amazing selection of new and used books. In my opinion, this is the best place for used books in the area. They inspect their used books thoroughly before selling them. You can find some great deals here. more

Well loved 11/16/2005

This store is well loved, meaning by its employees and patrons. I loved stopping in Kulturas to see what was new and the like-minded folk inside. I try to visit whenever I'm in DC and while I haven't been lately, I can't imagine that anyone would let this long lived shop change very dramatically. more

Neighborhood used book store 8/20/2005

Kulturas is a Washington institution. There is an awesome selection of used books, including rare and used books, and an EXTREMELY knowledgeable staff. The selection is best for history, art, political science, and fiction. The art section especially is spectacular. The owners are clearly very selective about the books they stock - the shelves are filled only with good reads. more

Used Bookstore 8/15/2005

Kulturas, as you might guess from the name, is a lefty-themed used bookstore in Dupont Circle. They have a good selection although the books are stacked two rows to a shelf which makes it difficult to find things. They have a lot of mystery novels and a nice selection of kids books as well as cookbooks and literature and some rare books as well. The prices aren't cheap, but are still a lot less than buying new. more
