We were looking to have a new Boiler put into my mother's house in Chicago and heard of Kuhn from an acquaintance. My mother is 81 years old and lives by herself. Tim Kane came out to give her an estimate. When she received the estimate she called me up very upset because it was for $14,500 which I knew was way too high. I researched another company that I found with good reviews and an A+ BBB rating and asked them for an estimate. They came back with a $5,700 price, which we accepted, and had the job done. I just feel that Kuhn was trying to take advantage of an old woman who they assumed would not know the difference between a fair quote and a rip-off. Kuhn's estimate was almost 3 time the price that we paid. I am not commenting on their work because obviously we did not hire them. All I am saying is, if you call them for an estimate, make sure you call a few more companies as well for a comparison.
