closed?! finally?? 11/14/2013

The windows are covered with paper now, I'm guessing they closed. If so, they were sneeky and posted signs ladtlkst year that said they weren't closing. They let the stock run out over the past year. They were way over priced, I won't miss it, I avoided the store due to the price gouging. Next store that takes over, better tske notes of kortes mistakes! more

Scared to buy frozen. 6/11/2012

Quality of fresh ground meat is stellar. Great deli and produce. However, I don't feel safe buying anything from the frozen department. I recently bought some hot pockets from there and they looked and tasted like they had thawed out and been re-frozen. On top of that, the box looked like had been opened already. After visiting the store a few more times and seeing some bags of ice in a door freezer melted (on one trip) and frozen to the shelves with an icecicle on another visit. Seeing these inconsistencies with the freezers has caused me to be very reluctant to purchase any frozen goods from there. more

Country Grocery 3/25/2011

With so many country groceries going out of business, I try to shop here at least 1x a month. Friendly service, nice bakery, clean produce, great meat. Weekly ads can offer some real bargains. Yes, not updated, but for a country grocery that offers standard and premium items at a fair price in a clean environment it can't be beat. If Armada loses this store, your alternative may be buying your groceries at the local gas station. more

Better than most stores in other small towns 3/22/2011

They have a better selection than other small town markets in this area. I've always gotten friendly service from them and they have good specials. The deli is nice and they have a nice meat selection. They have a pretty good selection for a small store. Beats driving 20 minutes to a larger store for a few items. more

kortes mkt 8/16/2009

kortes market is in desperate need of remodeling they are still stuck in 1960 produce is poor and expensive. The meat section is very good and has very good prices. more

A small town grocery store that just seems to have what you need 8/18/2005

Korte's is smaller than many of the huge supermarkets around, but it has good prices, good produce and just about everything you need. The store is old and isn't as shiny as the new stores. They have a bakery, deli and meat counter. I would reccomend their sugar-free pies to anyone who is watching their sugar intake. The staff in general is very friendly and they employ many local youths. They don't have as good of a selection of specialty items as a bigger store, but you would be suprised... Even though they are the only grocery store in Armada they are still quite reasonably priced. more
