The sushi was fantastic as was the deluxe makanuchi. The sashimi was sweet and delicious. One of the wait staff was a sourpuss and the sushi man was pretty unfriendly, but the other waitresses were friendly and attentive. \r \r Unfortunately, we went there for my birthday in September and found it closed up tight. Went with a friend because she was craving some yakisoba and we found this place behind the ihop. Place was nice and the sushi ok. I like the sushi guy but he doesn't smile. Need a bartender, male or female, with some personality. Waitresses could use some help in the service and hospitality area. They could afford to drop a few pounds; service could be slow because they are eating all of the food, but whatever. Considering the poor service, they should compensate by dropping prices IMHO. Went in on a Friday night at around 7pm. Restaurant was quite and only one other couple eating. Restaurant ambiance is nice. Kinda similar to Kobe (restaurant that was previously at this location). So being that there were only 2 two party tables to service (including us), I'm not sure if judging the speed of service will be applicable to busier times (not quite sure when that is since it was 7pm on a Friday night; I'm assuming that ppl are just not aware that the restaurant is not there? not sure). In any case, we got our food quickly after placing our order. Sushi was okay. I always eat spicy tuna rolls, so I usually judge a sushi restaurant based on their spicy tuna roll; and this place is okay. I really dislike places that use the spicy mayonnaise stuff; not a huge fan of it. In addition to having my so-so spicy tuna roll, my main meal was the tempura udon. This is a pretty safe dish, so I can't really judge how good the kitchen is here; however, I plan to revisit and try something worth judging. What I really like is the fact that this is a restaurant/karaoke bar. I love karaoke, and so if anything, I will return to have a few drinks and sing some karaoke. See y'all there! I had a dinner with 5 of us. Nothing was indicated on the menu nor the server never menthined about it, however they added 20% gratuity without a notice in the final bill.\r \r We never recall we've received a right service for 20% gratuity. The quality of foods are far less than the avarage Japanese restaurants in another towns and we often had to work hard to find a server to make additional orders or ask for something. As we walked through the door, the waitresses were very welcoming and seated us immediately. The waitress who was serving us for the night gladly and thoroughly described the dishes to my family and I. I extremely appreciated her help in preference over dishes. She suggested many different dishes and tastes which suited us. During the process, she continued to check on tea and questioned if we needed anything else for the night. We took our time dining and had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be coming back often to once again enjoy our wonderful dining experience. more

Have never been humiliated by waitress AND owners like this before! Saw the coupon of it in mail for $15 off $30 per -table for brand opening. and decided to try it out since it is in the neighborhood. Ordered steak and Saba Soba noodle with salmon roe. The Salmon Roe was not fresh, and the beef was not medium rare as we asked. On top of that, the waitress was hash during the whole service, like rushed us to order cos the kitchen is closing, checked out our tea but did not add more for us even she knew we need more, etc. Then we were told the coupon is 15$ certificate for use next time instead of $15 off, and not for the whole table, but for one entree which need to be over $30. However, since it was not written so on the coupon they decide to let us get away from it, and gave us that certificate. By that time, I was already pretty sure that i won't come here again, so I asked to use that certificate this time. They agreed eventually since there is no where on the coupon saying that we cannot use it for the first visit, but the waitress asked to check my ID when I handed over my Credit card on the table. ( I really think this is just a way to try to humiliate me. ) Even worse, the owner came back with the credit card and receipt, and literally throw them back to me and said:"" you got a good bargain tonight"". I really think this is the worst dining out experience I have ever had, and can ever imagine!!!!! more
