We ordered granite counters and a granite sink for our kitchen from Kitsap Quality Counters back in February of 2013, putting 80 percent down as requested. When we signed the contract, we were under the impression this included coming to the house and taking all necessary measurements, cutting the granite, delivery, and the installation of the countertops. \r
Discussing our needs, John and Laura Belle at Kitsap Quality Counter were very helpful, but once they received our down payment, it seemed everything changed; we were not a priority anymore. They were given all contact numbers: our contractor's phone number, our cell phones, and work numbers. They would set up an appointment to come by our house to make the template and then, while we were waiting, call saying, they were running late and give us another time, which they would miss again. This happened more than once. \r
They thought nothing about telling us they were going to show up at 7:00 P.M. It was winter and dark at that time, we told them there was no power in the kitchen. How can you take proper measurements in the dark? Also, they don't seem to understand or care that people work all day and once they get home in the evening; it is time for them to relax, not waiting on a service person. Because they couldn't show up for scheduled appointments during the week days, they made an appointment for a Sunday. Once again, they don't understand that you work all week and need to take care of personnel business during the weekends. We agreed to a Sunday visit because we needed to get the kitchen completed and they were the people holding up the remodel at that point. When the appointed time arrived, they called and told us that they are on the other side of the Sound and getting ready to get on the ferry. Once again, they show that our time is not important and they will get to us when it is convenient for them, not you. They missed or were late for all scheduled appointments. Let me stress, Kitsap Quality Counters does not think your satisfaction nor time are important. Customer service is definitely lacking when it comes to dealing with their clients and meeting deadlines.\r
After taking two different measurements, they came by one last time, 36 hours before the install was to begin. We had already been informed that the countertop had been cut. They informed us that a cut needed to be made before install. They were so unprofessional that the cut they wanted to make was drawn on one of their business cards! If delicate measurements had to be taken, why not spend the time to sketch the item on a tablet of graphing paper and show at least some interest in appearing precise and professional. If the cut was not made, they would not installing the counter! We told them with such short notice, we could not get our contractor to do the cut and Kitsap Quality Counters said they would make the cut for an added fee. We told them that we didn't believe that we should pay a fee since they have been out twice before and should have given us the information in a timely manner; they should make the cut per the contract. \r
To make a long story short, they never contacted us again after that conversation, nor did they deliver or install our counter. After months of trying to serve them, we took the case before Kitsap County Small Claim's Court. We won a judgment against them for all the money paid, plus court cost.\r
I would not recommend doing business with them.
