From our first meeting, to your onsite visit and thru completion, your suggestions and ideas went beyond our visions. All of this was attributed because of your calm and patient demeanor coordinating our ‘work in process’. This was more than anyone could expect. Now let’s thank you for your onsite workforce and their attention to details. Without all of this we would not be enjoying our kitchen as much as we are today. After shopping many kitchen remodelers in a 12 month time frame, including local custom cabinet makers, we decided on the Omega/Dynasty line, based solely on the quality of construction and finish of the cabinets. \r We are happy with the decision and have a beautifully remodeled kitchen. \r As with any major house remodeling project, there were a couple of ""bumps"" in the road. Rob handled each ""bump"" professionally, patiently, quickly and efficiently. \r Thanks Rob! \r \r **** Well, not as thrilled with the kitchen work almost three years later as I was at the initial install. The cabinet doors have continued to contract and expand over the years causing the doors to rub. We have to make constant adjustments to the hinges to remedy the problem. If you adjust them so there is a larger gap to prevent them from touching the interior of the cabinets get dusty. Rob said initially since they were solid wood, they would adjust to the environment and stop expanding and contracting...didn't turn out to be the case. The house has a whole house humidifier that runs all winter and is air conditioned in the summer. No good excuse for the amount of movement these cabinet doors continue to have. Therefore based on his handling of the problem (or lack there of) and the cabinets themselves I wouldn't recommend this business nor that line of cabinets. The project began on time with courteous, efficient sub-contractors throughout. There were a few unexpected events which delayed the completion date but not to the extent that the delay caused serious inconvenience. The unexpected gave everyone the opportunity to display flexibility and the ability determine and carry out a successful change all without costing me anything extra. And most important, the finished renovation was exactly as planned at the cost agreed to. I am extremely happy with the renovation. more

I was dreading the whole ordeal of redoing the kitchen and it turned out to be such a pleasant experience. Once the project started, it took exactly a month. There was someone here everyday working. Dennis was on top of everything and was such a pleasure to work with. He not only offered suggestions but was completely open to my needs and suggestions. Also, I can't say enough about the sub-contractors (electrical, plumbing,plasterer, etc.). They were very professional and I felt like I got to know them not only on a professional level but a personal level. Once the project was complete and everybody left, I felt like I had lost part of my family. There was never a time if I had a problem that all I had to do was make a phone call and Dennis was on top of it. Thank you Kitchen Emporium for a job well done. more

We had Kitchen Emporium do a complete kitchen remodel for us in 1995. We knew they would give us a beautiful kitchen, but we didn?t realize what a good decision we were making for the future. First of all, they carry very good products that they stand behind. My Dynasty/Omega cabinets look as good today as the day they were installed. Two years ago when we purchased a new microwave/exhaust hood combination, we needed to change the upper cabinet. Kitchen Emporium was able to order the very same design, and it matches the old perfectly. Second, the customer service is outstanding. In 2005, my Corian countertop had developed a crack at the edge of the countertop stove. The fabricator who installed it was no longer in business, so Rob found a new company and arranged for the repair. Just this month we thought there was a problem with an outside panel of a base cabinet because the shelf clips would not hold the shelf. Rob sent a carpenter to make a repair, no charge. We did not expect a freebie on 17-year old cabinets. But that?s the kind of customer service that is typical at Kitchen Emporium. more

Eleven years ago, my husband and I decided to redo our kitchen. We were extremely pleased with their quality and expertise. Kitchen Emporium is the best!! As a Christmas present to myself I decided to have my kitchen remodeled. While walking I happened to stumble upon Kitchen Emporium. I went in, spoke with Rob, and I was hooked. What I like most is the professionalism that he displayed. I was not pressured to buy anything nor spend a lot of money. I felt like I was dealing with an honest man. The price of the kitchen was cheaper than I thought, so I had the bathroom vanity and countertop replace. Our kitchen remodel experience from initially walking into the Kitchen Emporium showroom to handing Rob the final check was nothing but first class. Rob and Kitchen Emporium are one of the few honest businesses/people left out there. Also, all the people who perform the actual work are nothing but professional and top notch. Rob's easy going personality was refreshing after dealing with pushy and annoying sales people/contractors in the past. I was an interior designer (in my previous life) and wanted to re-design my own kitchen for my 60's rancher. I appreciate quality workmanship in a timely manner; which is why I did not consider lowes or home depot. Rob was completely accommodating regarding some atypical design choices that I made. His installers were first rate. I have received excellent service all along--even several years later for minor ""touch-ups"". My kitchen takes a beating with three kids running around. As many have said before me, their level of service far exceeded our expectations. My wife and I are wrapping up an extensive remodel, and I wanted to give Rob and Dennis a pat on the back. We were totally satisfied with every single aspect of the process. They are patient, creative, timely, and very responsive to even the slightest concern or question. We came to Rob with a basic layout of the kitchen. He came to the property to see it in person, and to ensure all of the measurements were correct. We were building our new house and visited nearly every single kitchen and bath place in Hampton Roads. Most places wanted to change our windows and wall or layout to what they thought our kitchen should look like. We finally visited Kitchen Emporium (a long drive away for us) and very glad we did. Their kitchen designer listen to what we wanted and pretty much nailed the design on first attempt. With few modifications we had them install our kitchen. more

We had some ideas about how we wanted to update our 1950 style galley kitchen, and more than a few challenges to tackle before we could even consider the remodel. Moving walls and relocating all the appliances and utility room to name a few. Also, it was important for us to incorporate the mid-century modern interior features in our new kitchen. After interviewing various designers we visited Kitchen Emporium?s showroom. Rob was great, had terrific ideas and patience. Rob worked with us to meet our goals and we now have an exceptional ?new? kitchen. His trades were professional and did excellent work. Every day we come home to a beautiful, inviting kitchen that we love to cook in and hang out in, thanks to Rob at Kitchen Emporium and his great crew. We have done a lot of work on our house ourselves but we knew a thorough kitchen remodel was beyond our abilities. After getting several other estimates, we met with Rob and knew right away that we would be hiring Kitchen Emporium to do the job. Rob came up with a lovely design, cheerfully tweaking it to meet our needs and budget, and he came out to our house twice to measure and remeasure before finalizing the design and ordering the (very well-made) cabinets. All his subcontractors showed up on time, kept the work space clean, paid attention to detail and stayed on schedule. We had renovated our kitchen a year or so ago and had removed the bar and replaced it with a table/chairs, it did not suite us. We looked and looked for a bar that we both liked for several months without success. We visited KE and on display was a bar that immediately hit home and we wanted one just like it. We ordered it and it was built exactly as we specified and matched our exisiting cabinets perfectly and looks as though it belongs. All work was done professionally, on time and as promised. Good group of guys who we whole hearted recommend to anyone to visit for their work. more
