These apartments are horrible. Horribly built and falling apart. We have documented everything, including the fact that they cover up their water stains with Killz paint (it stains every time it rains!) and that the apartment is settling. We have water damage every time it rains heavily. We call them, they look at the stains, then cover it up. Our doors no longer close properly -- the bedrooms doors will NOT close. There are cracks in the walls, especially near the top, and the walls shake when we walk across the floor. It's a VERY rickety building. \r
Our friend is a public adjuster, and we asked him to come into our apartment to document things for us in case we sue over problems, and he said, ""Move out -- now. It's risky to live here."" We gave our move-out notice that day. I will not be surprised to see a building collapse. STAY AWAY for your own safety! \r
As for the management, they aren't so hot. They are friendly but with no substance, as they treat tenants differently. One neighbor gets a notice on something while another neighbor, doing the exact same thing in plain sight, does not. This happens all over the complex. If you file a complaint of any kind they will be MILITANT with you, even if your complaint is justified. Renter beware! \r
And a final note: The prices quoted in 'from the owner of Kingswood Apartments' are incorrect. We were paying much more than the highest rate listed for a two-bedroom apartment. Rates also go up with every lease renewal, but there are no added benefits for that increased cost.
