This is a new restaurant in Solvang so wanted to try it. Ordered a trio appetizer of oysters, shrimp, and calamari, and it was very good. They had Sapporo on tap, so ordered that. It was my first time having Sapporo on tap, and WOW, what a fantastic beer! Moving to the entree I ordered the Chirashi Sushi and wife ordered a Tiger Roll... both were unbelievably good. Half way thru my Chirashi Sushi, the Chef handed me a special braised Salmon Sushi that was also fantastic. He said it was his way of welcoming us to the restaurant. I will definitely be back to try the other items on the menu besides the Sushi. This visit was on a Wednesday, at 5:30pm, so before the dinner rush, and if I had to fault anything it would only be that our waiter came and took our Appetizer order and left, after 10 minutes I had to ask a different server for a Sapporo, another 15 munites went by and finally our waiter came back and served the Appetizer. 25 minutes was too long to wait for fried Oysters, Calamari and Shrimp, that should have taken 10 minutes max. considering they were not busy. I saw the kitchen chef out talking instead of cooking. Our Sushi was served before the Appetizer arrived. I also had to ask for my Miso soup that the server forgot about. When he brought the Appetizer, I ordered another Sapporo, and when the server brought it the the Sapporo logo on the glass was not facing me. Just a little thing, but shows training is needed.
