Kidz Kabana

I used to work there and let me tell you the place is awful. New teachers all the time. Always over enrolled. Kids are just money to the owner. Teachers are thrown around from room to room. Had children enrolled that would kick you, hit you, throw chairs at you. Never got any help from the owner or director. You felt helpless and alone with no support. Rooms were always trashed. Toys are always broken, no supplies for teachers. Blankets on windows cuz they are too cheap to replace the blinds. Kids are under fed they are always hungry. Finally had to leave. Bad comments are all true. Don't take your kids there more

Terrible terrible company they owe me money they lie and pack kids in the rooms and the kids r not getting there care they need so so sad nicci and Kim are scams I had my child there he cried hated it and rude and they hold kids down and the lunches they serve are terrible beans everyday that is not a nutritious lunch bean burritos bean soup bean casserole they can't afford a nutritious lunch also they have blankets and towels hanging in windows for curtains rooms need a redo money isn't being put back into the place like most business do. Its going into her pocket. Please don't work for her or take children to them more

They only care about money not kids she's full of BS . I worked for her children are stuffed in rooms not getting the quality care they need and as a employee our treated poorly chks are always wrong she still owes me for a week pay I never got scam artists. Parents please don't take our children here . more

This is one of the few institutions in which my child has loved. She is fed healthy food she loves and is not talked down to as a child. I appreciate Nicci's, the director, vision of helping kids grow. Any negative review on this place is probably the customer's fault. I've had a very positive experience at Kidz Kabana and would recommend it TO ANYONE! more

We provided cleaning services for this company and they never paid! We took them to court and won and they still never paid! But, how quick do you think they'd kick your kid out if you didn't pay!! more

Im SO surprised to read the bad reviews on here. I've had three children go through preschool at Kidz Kabana and had a great experience. They do have some turnover but all three of my kids had the same teacher for years at a time. I've always felt safe and supported there. I agree that the bad stuff is usually the only thing that makes it on the reviews! Kidz Kabana has been awesome for my family. more

Would not recommend Kidz Kabana. I was interested it due to its hours but after my child switching classrooms with 3 different excuses none of which made sense I decided enough was enough. The turnover rate is ridiculous with 3 out of 4 of the preschool teachers leaving within a 2 month period. I want consistency for my child and did not receive that in the 6 months we were there. The manager is also extremely rude and was worried about where I was moving my child to instead of why I was leaving. more

I have to agree with all the bad reviews about Heidi. She shouldn't be working with children or people. It's really too bad she's back because Kidz Kabana has some nice features. I think the food is above average. But Heidi is horrible - NEVER friendly to my son when he went there - couldn't even say "hello" to him when he arrived. I was uncomfortable with her being in the same building as him. As long as she's there, I would not recommend Kidz Kabana as a place to take your child. more

I took my children to Kidz Kabana for a while because of their great hours of operation. I found out QUICKLY that Heidi (the asst Director) is not a people-person AT ALL and I firmly believe that she doesn't even like children. She would rather call you at work and send a child home early than deal with him/her. My oldest child knew that Heidi did not like him so he was always getting sent home. The worst part was that her sister, Nicki (the actual owner/director) does nothing about Heidi's unprofessional behavior. Then, without any notice their pricing changed and I started having to pay quite a bit more for the same days/hours. I have pulled both children out and will NOT go back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. more

After reading some of the reviews out here and how my experiences differs from them so much, I felt compelled to write this review. We have taken our boys to Kidz Kabana for 5 years now. Has Kabana been absolutely perfect in everything aspect all the time? No, but the most important thing we have felt at Kabana is that our children are safe and well taken care of. The staff is always friendly and nice. ANY issues or concerns we have had over the years have been addressed and resolved in the best manner possible. Kabana is a young organization that is still identifying itself, but it does not hinder its sole purpose - to provide affordable, quality care for the most important people in our lives - our children. My kids love it, have great friends, from it, and the many people we have recommended it to have enjoyed them as well. Hats off to Kabana from a demanding, overprotective parent! more

When told my bill amount from one girl it was outrageous, she was very young and didnt seem she was so sure of the high price, so waited and asked the Director (whom is the owners sister, and always very rude and wont answer questions) she gave me a little lower price. Finally I decided to talk to the owner herself, (whom never seems to be there) who finally gave me a price 3 times cheaper than the first 2. Very unorganized, every payment seems like a scam. They give you the run-around with unanswering the real questions. High turnover rate with thier teachers (whom never seem to really ever know whats going on, though seem sweet and nice, they are thrown around alot). Overall, expensive, scams, very rude management (if any ever present) and very unorganized. For a family owned operation, it seems the owner has no control over her family's professional aspects. more

High teacher turn over. I just took my child out of there because i was tired of hearing him wake up and tell me he hated going! The classroom had kids aged from 2 to 4 and to many kids in the class. They let girls and boys go to the bathroom together! When i dropped my child off they wouldn't say anything to him. This place is just unacceptable to take you child!! more

Kidz Kabana is a clean, safe and fun environment. They offer very flexible schedules and have a very friendly staff with low turn over rate! Before enrolling my daughter in June, I was a little skeptical based on a few bad reviews I had read online. I mentioned this to the Director and she said she understood and handed me a list of 15 different references, which all turned out to be very positive! I encourage anyone who is looking to make an appointment at Kidz Kabana and see for yourself that it is a great place to take any child for preschool. Sadly, bad reviews online are usual made by a disgruntled customer, and while we can never get rid of the bad reviews, we can find out for ourselves how great Kidz Kabana is!! I encourage anyone that loves Kidz Kabana to start getting some positive reviews out there... Kidz Kabana deserves it! Thanks! more

Do not take your child here. I enrolled my daughter and paid the outrageous enrollment fee of 250 for flex care. Only to later find out from the assistant manager Heidi that with state daycare assistance that I receive I must pay the full amount that the daycare charges and get reimbursed from the state. However the state pays daycares not individuals. I then called Heidi to try to resolve the issue which she claims I was well aware of when I paid the fee, which I was not. Because of this I had to find other day care. When I called up to Kidz kabana and spoke to Heidi’s sister I was informed that what Heidi told me was untrue. When I asked Heidi about this she claims to have never told me this and called me a liar, which is funny because in previous conversation she swore I knew about she now denies. I had every intention of using their daycare why else would I have handed over that much money!!!! She now refuses to return my money even though she mislead me. To make matters worse this is a family owned business so there is no way to go over her, the only thing I get is hung up on or non returned phone calls. Save yourself time and money deal with professional people not scammers such as the Kidz Kabana more

My daughter attended preschool at Kidz Kabana from 3-5. She loved it and I always felt assured that my child was well taken care of. The teachers there made her feel very special and after being in the Pre-kindergarten class, she entered kindergarten very well prepared. She had a blast at summer camp last year and loved being able to go swimming and going to Extreme. Offering drop in care is a great, reasonably priced option when we want to go and catch a movie, go out to dinner, or just go shopping. When you don't have anyone to babysit, it's nice to have a safe environment to leave your child in without worrying about who you have left them with! more

I was a long time customer of Kidz Kabana but I had noticed one thing after another that just started to bug me. After a recent incident over money I contacted the front desk girl (who is the owners sister) who told me to contact the owner after 3 calls no call back from the owner. I decided to take my business to another day care provider which was cheaper and no tv/video games, which means more interaction with my child. My children enjoy the new provider and so do I. Kidz Kabana the staff had alot of turn over and the management never seem to really be there. more

If I can't stay home to watch my daughter, then I want Kidz Kabana to do it for me. I'm a former stay at home dad of very high standards. I have popped over to Kidz Kabana unannounced several times to check on my daughter and I have always been impressed with their high standards and attentiveness. The news lately is that they are being smudged by a disgruntled former employee. Every company has one, and I'm afraid Kidz Kabana must now endure one of their own. I say judge for yourself. Me? I have a great deal of confidence in Kidz Kabana and their staff. My suggestion is to stop some parents on their way in or out of KK and get their opinions. The proof is in the pudding! I think you will share my opinion. more

I came to pick my child up a hour early on day. The school age children were running all over the gym with no teacher in site. I stood in the gym for 10min or so while the school age children beat up on each other and still no teacher. Went and got the night director who was sitting at the front desk on a personl phone call. When we got back to the gym the teacher was coming back in from the outside playground, the director asked him why the kids in the gym where not outside he said they did not want to go outside. I walked outside to the playground to pick up my child and there was one teacher out there with 30 or so kids. NOT A SAFE PLACE TO BRING YOUR CHILD, THEY WOULD BE SAFER STAYING HOME ALONE!!!! more

On this surface, this daycare appears better than most with clean facilities and a decent curriculum. However, management and organization is awful. I picked my kid up in different rooms several days before we eventually decided to switch. I was told that they moved her because her room had too many kids. My daughter's teacher was also gone quite frequently and there were always other teachers in the room. Too much inconsistency for us. more
