best kids store 6/16/2008

I do not understand what all these reviews are saying. I go into Kids Junction at least once a week and have never seen any rude employees, In fact, I have noticed everyone going out of their way to be helpful. The merchandise is great and prices fantastic. It is well worth the drive from anywhere in San Antonio. You really should try it before you listen to other people. more

What happened to customer service, or just plain courtesy and manners? 5/27/2008

I shopped at Kids Junction for a year. Frankly, I couldn't stand thinking that I was supporting such hateful people. The first few times I thought I was just ""wearing my feelings on my sleeve"", that all of it was my imagination. I felt like I was being stared at, yet ignored anytime that I had a question. No one ever greeted me or offered assistance. Each time I went, the rude behavior just became more and more blatant, the prices just seemed to climb... or maybe the clothes just looked worse so the already high prices looked higher. I did find a bargain or two over the course of a year... but it was after searching through really overpriced junk. I just quit going. Then after a year I decided to stop in again to see how things were going. Just as bad, worse than I remembered. I looked around for some sleepers/12 month baby clothes... couldn't find a thing. All their stuff was winter, it was 90+ outside. I decided to try my hand at consignment. They certainly needed something besides winter! I asked for the best time to bring resale items in. I showed up one morning and approached the counter at the same time a woman was walking up to it. She GLARED at me and said ""What do you need?"". I said ""Well, I would like to consign some items please."" WHOA! Wrong choice of words! She literally rolled her eyes and slammed her pen down. She sharply said ""THIS is NOT a consignment shop Mrs."" What proceeded was the most unpleasant experience. She sighed and gave me ""looks"" the whole time she scoured through my clothing. She picked at them with her fingernails and then would look at me over the rim of her glasses. She pointed out spots on clothing that I still can't see. I had brought in Ralph Lauren, Gap, Talbots Kids, etc. All in excellent condition! ESPECIALLY for a RESALE shop! t's a shame because it would have been an awesome ""find"" for someone else. I am a clean sweet mother of two and have never felt so much like a dirty piece of trash. I will never go back. NEVER! Pros: ? Cons: Poor selection, overpriced, rude staff. more

Wow!! 4/26/2008

WOW!!! I sure am glad that I read these reviews before wasting my $3.50 a gallon on gas only to be treated like dirt. Thank you all for sharing your reviews. more

payes money upfront, large store and good prices 4/9/2008

took some of my kids stuff there, they were very selective on a lot of stuff. but over all took almost half of what I brought in. They like toys and baby equipment. they also have a great selection on that stuff too. Pros: great selection on baby stuff, pays for your items that day Cons: too long of a wait without an appointment more

Know what to expect 3/12/2008

The employees are the most cold hearted fake people I have ever seen. When your buying something they put on a fake smile or rush to get you out of the store. I have shopped here and sold items here they are very rude to your children if take them with you. So I no longer take my children with me if I want to find a quick deal living on budget with four kids. But yes I agree with the other reviews these women do not like there jobs or life they have huge chips on there shoulders it's really sad. I pray for those women to seek a higher power to let they anger go because it controls there customer service and life. That owner needs to do something. Yes, sure people will continue to go to to sell there items people need money to live. I tell you what most customers that go to sell just take what they get as far money but I'm sure the items that they sold there had more value then what they where given. So for myself and others that take my advice donate your clothes to family or a shelter you'll have a larger reward inside then to being treated with disrespect by this company. Pros: you might find a few deals but not many Cons: the employees hate to work and it shows more

totally disapointed 3/8/2008

I have been buying cloths at Kids Junction for over a year now, did like the costumer service but since eventually I could find good stuff I didnt really care, but last week I took some baby cloths for sale and the experience was terrible, they treat me like if I was a beggar or worse, they made me wait a long time, and then they checked and checked my cloths like if they had a disease just to let me know that they were no interested cause they were winter cloths. They payed me $3.50 for a few items and believe me Im never going back. Its a shame, whats the point on having their adds and publicity if when you actually try to use their ""resale"" service its so rude and far from what they offer you. more

Overpriced 12/7/2007

Maybe because I can shop sales really good, I find that most of their stuff is over priced. And they are so picky about what they buy but some of the clothes hanging looks like it should have been shipped to goodwill. The only thing that really is worth your trip is to go and look for shoes. Since they are so selective you can find shoes at a decent price. Oh and the service, I give it a thumb down. I'm not shopping there anymore, I will continue to shop sales and clearance racks. Pros: Shoes are in good condition Cons: Bad service, clothes overpriced more

Awful Customer Service 7/19/2007

I have shopped at Kids Junction for several years and have recommended the store to others with young children. However, I recently took items there for resale and had a completely different experience. While I appreciated the selectiveness of the buyer, I will never resell clothes at Kids Junction and I will discourage everyone from selling or shopping there due to the rude and offensive employees. Upon arrival, I explained I had a large box and I would carry it in if someone could hold the door. I was told that they were ""short staffed"" that morning and I would ""have to manage."" It took about an hour for the ladies to look over my items. Then, the employee explained that some of the items could not be purchased because they weren't accepting winter clothes until next month. I said that I would bring them back and that it was not a problem. The employee stated that they are telling everyone with an appointment that they are accepting summer items only. I stated that I had not received this information, but that it wasn't a big deal. An employee at the end of the counter said, ""I scheduled that appointment, and yes, I did tell you no winter clothing."" I was shocked! The employee assisting me looked at me and said, ""well there you have it."" Soon afterwards the two employees went to the back room, where I could still see them. They very obviously had a conversation about me. I was starting to become offended when I overheard another employee on the phone with someone making an appointment. She said ""mam, mam, mam... stop talking for a minute and I will tell you what you need to know."" I guess everyone selling items at Kids Junction needs to be offended for the sale to be complete! more

NOT kid-friendly - they could care less!! 11/15/2006

I have done much business with them and yes, they are picky (although I have seen some over-priced items with holes in them) but overall they sell decent stuff. I will never do business with them again, however, because at my last visit a young baby went missing and the mother was panicking and two of the employees said, under their breath, ""It's the mother's problem. I'm not going to do anything about it."" I agree that kids are the parents responsibility, but we should all care enough to help. I helped the mother find her child, without any assistance from the store employees. Their attitude was so disappointing, especially in this day of growing child predators. I hope you will follow suit and do business with a respectable company...not this one. Pros: the things they sell are mostly clean Cons: they don't really care about your children!! more

Great clothes and service 9/14/2006

Kid's Junction is the best resale shop I've been to. Yes, they are very picky on what clothes and other items they buy, but when you buy the clothes there you know you are getting great quality in the clothes and other items. The best way to sell them your items is to make an appointment with them. Then you don't have to wait. They have rejected clothes I have brought them, and they were right to reject them. They always show me where the stain or hole is on the item. When they reject any of my items I donate them to a good cause. You get to buy more clothes there than you would be able to at any retail store. I will always go there and recommend them. Pros: Great merchandise. Great service. Cons: Long lines if you don't make an appointment. more

Completely unpleasant experience! 10/18/2005

When I called beforehand to inquire how their resale process works, the girl curtly told me to bring my stuff in, they'd evaluate it, and pay me. I used sewing pins to keep outfits together. They rejected all my pinned items, because they said the pins left holes. (I later took the pins out, rubbed my finger over the tiny ""hole""and voila' - gone!) They rejected lots of items they claimed were stained, but couldn't point out the stain. They wanted my Pottery Barn Wooden Train set, lots of my toys, and an outfit that was new (but also pinned). They offered me a whopping $22, which I turned down. If they're going to be that ridiculous about choosing items, they should train employees to spend a little more time w/people who call in ahead of time inquiring about how things work. Total waste of my time! Completely unpleasant experience! Pros: large store, cash on the spot Cons: poor customer service, don't expect much $$ more
