This is a great daycare. Sometimes kids get bruises and fall down. is this the fault of the daycare no. They do plenty of learning activities here. my son is in Karate and music in motion. Both are great classes. The teachers are caring and love kids. my guess is the parents complaining are not paying for the care trhemselves . you know what I mean. I have never had any bad experiences here. Same goes for most of the parents and kids I know attending Kids World. There are issues everywhere. Employees get upset when they are fired, parents get mad and bash because their child had to be taken out because of behavior problems or they wouldn't pay. I think you should at least check it out. You'll see that the other reviews aren't true. If so, why were their kids there so long... just a thought. Pros: clean, great teachers, 3 stars more

My 16 month old daughter has been at Kids World since June 2nd of 2008. The first 6 months were not too bad, I really liked that her teachers were mothers too, so I felt they were much better with her. But as she entered the Toddler 2 Room, it has gone down hill! Recently when I picked her up from school, they had MASKING TAPED her shoes to her feet. Im talking from the toes up around her ankles, because she kept taking them off. They were too lazy to put them back on her. They told me it was fire marshall code for children of her age to keep shoes on at all times. There was hardly any understanding from the management point, only stating that it was a rule. I talked to Sumner Co, Davidson Co, and the state rep Fire Marshalls, and they had NEVER heard such a thing. Rarely are there any developmental projects done, nothing that leads me to believe she is learning ANYTHING. I am a single mom and she is only around me for the most part. She has developed this temper leading her to hitting, scratching, laughing when told No Ma'am. There have been 2 recent occasions where I have picked her up and she was being yelled at for taking toys off the shelf. Yesterday when I walked in, she was in trouble for playing with toys and not watching the movie that was playing. She is 16months old, and does not have the attention span to watch a movie!!! She has had both corners of her eye seriously cut from falling and hitting the corners of the WOODEN SHELVES that are not rounded AT ALL. I understand accidents happen, but this was very dangerous!! Friday, she had a serious bruise above her left ear from falling and hitting those same corners, and still they have not been covered or protected. I am bringing in 2 PACKS of wipes PER WEEK, always being told she is out!! These are the Pampers re-fill wipes and they last way more than a week!! When I pick her up, she is always filthy, and thats not the worst thing, but the point is, I know they are not using them to clean her up!! I am SO fed-up with this place. It is very unprofessional and I definitely am looking elsewhere!! Nothing irritates me more than when I ask them how her day was and they say, ""I dont know, I just got in here"". All I go on is a circle that says ""good"". I would NOT recommend this daycare AT ALL!! I do feel sorry for the few teachers there that might actually enjoy there job as a caregiver and keep the childrens best interests at heart, but they are not in the TODDLER 2 ROOM! I have worked in daycares for years, and I am not expecting perfection, but I seriously feel like these young girls are working a job just to work a job, and you cant do that when you are caring for young children and are responsible for their well being 10 hours out of the day! I am a mother of two children that attended Kid's World Academy. I would not recommend this center to the person I hate the most!!! During my children's attendance at Kid's World Academy they were physically and mentally mistreated. My daughter was bruised on two seperate occasions by a teacher, choked by another child...that was in turn an employees child, and my son was talked down on to the point of tears. I have witnessed teacher's telling children to ""shut the F*** up"", ""shut up your crying you little baby"", and watched a teacher turn a whole class on one child. He was crying, and I guess getting to this teacher, and this teacher had the rest of the class saying, "" look at ----, he's such a baby"". I felt so sorry for this child. It's sad to know that we, as parents, pay these people to care for our children when we have to work and they are being treated the way they are. I noticed a huge change in my children when they first started attending Kid's World Academy...and it was not for the better. I have documentation as well as recorded conversations with some of the Kid's World Academy staff. My fiance and I are in talks with a group of attorney's for the wrong doings to my children..as well as other things. Please, to anyone who is looking into this school, do not send your children here. \r Pros: a good place to teach your children to swear and have total disrespect for others Cons: too bad they feel they do nothing wrong when they are teaching your children things they should not be taught more
