Dr. Gomez has been great and I recommend Kid Care Pediatrics to everyone!! 2/20/2013

Kid Care Pediatrics is rated high, so I'm not sure why Dr. Gomez is so low. We love him. He was so sweet with our daughter, who is almost two. I most impressed at how gentle and caring he is. He came in and brought an Elmo toy with him. He showed my daughter on Elmo, what he was about to do. Look at her eyes, look at her ears and so on. She loved it. I recommend Kid Care Pediatrics to all friends and family we know. Everyone I talk to, in the waiting room, always have good things to say. The wait is always short, less than 10 minutes, setting up appointments is easy. They always have gotten my daughter in within 30-45 minutes of calling, when she is sick. The facility is nice with a sick and well-child area, two bathrooms with changing tables in them (which Ive heard some don't!) and all of the doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. We've been using them 2011 until now, so I'm not sure if the staff and doctors were different, because some of the reviews are old. 2009 an more

Go Elsewhere!!! 9/23/2012

This practice is focused on one thing...money. Their name should be Kid Cash Pediatrics, because they really don't "Care" much about their patient's. \r \r My daughter has been a patient since her birth in 2005. \r \r Dr. Gomez, is a good doctor. However, my daughter did not see Dr. Gomez after she turned 1. Each time we scheduled she was with either the nurse practitioner or a different pediatirician at each visit. Several times she was misdiagnosed by other doctors in the practice.\r \r Expect to wait between 30-45 minutes past your scheduled appointment time at every visit. We have NEVER had our appointment occur at the scheduled time in SEVEN years. That's because they overbook to begin with and also add in every unscheduled visit they can, to file more insurance claims. \r \r The front office staff changes each time you go in. Having worked in healthcare for over 20 years, this is a the sign of a bad work environment. The front office staff is also extremely rude. Their staff often attemp more

Great Pediatrician 9/18/2010

My children absolutely love Dr. Gomez. He is a GREAT pediatrician, very thorough and caring doc. I was not surprised he was voted one of the top docs in Fort Worth last year. All of the other docs and NPs are very competent and qualified. It is great to have your calls return by nurses on the same day you call and can usually get my sons seen the same day when they are sick. I highly recommend them. more

DON'T EVER GO TO KIDCARE PEDIATRICS! IT IS A HORRIBLE PLACE! 7/28/2010

I totally agree with S T's review. DO NOT GO TO KIDCARE PEDIATRICS!!!! My kids were patients of Dr. Fricker. He was such a nice and caring doctor that I overlooked the way we were treated by the staff and Dr. Gomez's policies! They have always done things to squeeze the most money out of the patient. I called the office ONE time after hours and was charged $15. Because I was shocked at being charged for an after hours call, I asked other parents if their doctors charged them. The answer was a resounding NO! The next time I was in the office, I mentioned to the receptionist that I thought the $15 charge was a little much and that I had never been to a doctor that charged for after hours phone calls. She explained that the company that handles their calls charge them, so they in turn charge us. Our conversation was nice and I didn't think anything about it. Anyway, today I got a CERTIFIED letter stating that I need to find another doctor. ?????????? Who does that??? I have more

Wonderful Care 7/8/2010

We love this practice! We have 3 children and we can always get them in for sick visits. We had tried 3 other peds before finding this practice and we have been going here for 6 years now!! I was so suprised to find negative reviews because we have never had any trouble with the physicians or staff. When I call my concerns are always addressed quickly. \r \r We will not go anywhere else because I never have to worry about the quality of care my kids are receiving. more

kidcare pediatrics is so so 11/20/2009

My son has been seeing Dr. Leffel for 3 years. We like Dr. Leffel, and Dr. Crary. They really listen, and attentive. Dr. Gomez, and Dr. Kosanke did not let us finish addressing our child's symtoms, and concerns. Both cut us off fairly quick. The nurses are nice, and very good w/ kids. The staffs are loud, and inconsiderate. Several time, we feel that there are missed comunication between Dr. and front office/appt desk. I have never received a satisfied answer from the front desk, always have to check again w/ the RN or Dr.. The office is closed to us, and we like Dr. Leffel, and fortunately, our son is healthy so we can put up w/ the lousy staffs, and occasionally other Dr. I would recomment this book to the Dr., Diagnosis - Dispatches from the frontlines of medical mysteries by Lisan Sanders. "too often it is the ancient skills, of touch and of attentive listening, that serve the physician, and her patients, best of all." more

kidcare pediatrics is TERRIBLE 8/12/2009

My son has been seeing Dr. Gomez since birth. Very nice staff during checkups and shots , however, When your child gets sick it takes them at least two visits for them to actually diagnose them with anything. My son has been sick on and off with colds, fevers and coughs. I took my son to kid Care three times in one week, and all there staff had to say was that it was viral and there was nothing they could do. He went to the hospital the following weekend and had pneumonia. That is when they finally started listening to me. They will wait till your kid develops pneumonia before prescribing them antibiotics. Oh and when we were at Cooks Children's Hospital they discovered he had asthma too, Something kidcare overlooked. WHEN YOUR KID GETS SICK YOU DON'T SEE THE SAME DOCTOR YOU NORMALLY WOULD, YOU SEE NURSES, AND A DIFFERENT ONE EACH TIME. WHICH SHORTCHANGES THE CHILD'S CARE. OH, and get this When you see the nurses YOU STILL PAY JUST AS MUCH AS IF YOU WERE SEEING A DOCTOR! (for people w more

NO WAY!! 5/15/2009

STAY AWAY FROM KIDCARE!! I used to work there and used to take my kids there. I loved them at first, but once you get past all the smoke and mirrors, you see that the clinic is all about the $$ and not the kids! It's like herding cattle in there! They put a patient every 15 mins. and are ALWAYS running behind. They do a lot of unnecessary procedures just to get your $$, and if your insurance doesn't cover it, then YOU have to pay! If you argue or question their practices at all you get a letter dismissing you from their practice. God forbid anyone question the all knowing Dr. Gomez!! They have buildings large enough to hold 4 docs comfortably, but now have 12 physicians in these clinics. Granted, they are not all there at all times, but there is way too many in there t one time. They treat their employees horrific, but the most disturbing is their stronger desire for more money and not the best welfare for the kids. Some might say that I am a disgruntled employee, but I'm really not. I more

Kid Care Pediatrics is Terrific! 4/22/2009

My 5 year old and 1 year old (since birth) have been seeing Dr. Leffel for a little over a year. She is a top notch pediatrician. I've never once felt rushed. Dr. Leffel always addresses my children and never talks over them. The doctor and her staff always make my family feel welcome and are attentive and very thorough with our needs and concerns. more

Terrible! 1/30/2009

I have been coming to this office since my daughter was born and the customer service I have received is terrible. I feel your nurses are disrespectful and they have treated me like I don't know what are I?m talking about. You cannot suggest anything because they know it all. I love the doctors but because the staff I will never come back. \r \r I think Dr. Gomez needs to do something about this. I feel he needs to see how his patients are been treated.\r \r I would not recommend this place to anybody. more

Best group of Pediatricians! 9/27/2006

This is a practice that will actually see you the day your child is sick. You might get to see your child's Dr, but at the very least you will see a very competent Nurse Practitioner. AAA+++ PROS: great doctors, easy access CONS: none more

Best Pediatrician!!! 11/2/2005

We love this doctor and all his associates. They have the nicest nurses and office staff, too. They are so good with kids. I would highly recommend. more
