In October of 2009 my wife and I contracted with Ken and his service to replace the mulch in our garden as well as to replace our plants. The price was fairly high ($1200) but we went ahead with it anyway. We were disappointed to find out that the mulch he ended up buying was not the $13/bag Dupont we had paid for, but rather the cheap Home Depot brand mulch. When we brought the problem to his attention, he blamed it on his employee who must have ""pocketed the difference"" - he said it was because he was not there to personally supervise them. When I asked him about replacing it he said he was broke and could not afford to. I offered him a deal in which I would purchase the replacement mulch if he would do the work for free... which I thought was extremely generous on my part. He has since failed to call me back and will not return my calls. My wife and I are left to dispose of 40 bags of cheap rubber mulch on our own and eat the costs. His website states that he guarantees satisfaction - but that doesn't seem to be the case.
