Good, Knowledgeable Therapists 3/5/2011

I was referred to the Watertown location by a friend of mine after I had surgery to fix a torn meniscus. The clinic is located inside the Boston Sports Club, which I didn't really think anything of at the time but proved to be very valuable to my rehab. The therapist I had was great. We worked on getting my motion and strenght back, and by the end of my PT visits he had me doing running and cutting drills on the basketball court. The enviornment is very friendly, and the staff is great. I hope I don't get hurt again but if I do I will definitely use Kennedy Brothers! more

Watertown Location 6/22/2010

I went for an ankle injury, walk into the PT office, right away I thought this place is a reck. It was like a dirty college dorm, Stuff piled up, clothes thrown on desk Boxes piled on top of each other. It felt very dirty there. Not a professional PT office. I guess being located in a Gym they don't feel the need. They asked me to change into shorts in the Gyms locker room I opened the door to that an there was water all over the floors wet towels trash. My mind said: I think I'm in the wrong PT facility . The office is far from the front door, the Locker room was across the gym up a ramp. Whats up with that. People come with physical injury, and have to walk all over a huge Gym to have sessions. If you don't mind going to a sweaty dirty place go. Kennedy Brothers when was the last time you looked at your Watertown location. Pretty Bad. more

kennedy brothers Boston downtown 6/3/2008

I have been to about half a dozen physical therapists all over US for a nagging shoulder problem that I have had for many years. None of them were able to make any difference, until I met Jake (John) Kennedy at their downtown center on 45 Franklin street. He practically renewed my faith in physical therapy. He is a middle aged guy (probably in his late forties) with a very calm demeanor. He often reminds me of Clint eastwood in the movie Million dollar baby. He has a very through knowledge in his field and his diagnosis is usually much more precise and accurate than even a doctor's diagnosis. In my personal opinion he is the God of physical therapy. Having said all that, one should also be aware of his drawbacks. He is very notorious in keeping people waiting for very long hours. He takes many more patients than he can handle. So once you start working out there and want to ask him about something, chances are he would ignore you. Sometimes people ask him a question and he just walks away without responding. He also seems to dislike foreigners. (If you are a colored guy brought up in US , you DONOT count as a foreigner). He usually never personally works on you unless you are an American. If you are not an American and have a foreign accent, you would be treated like an unwanted object who is welcome to leave anytime he wants. I wouldn't call him a racist, instead he is more of a xenophobic. Although if you are a good looking young female, this rule doesn't apply to you *wink*. Long story short: If you are an american or a pretty female, this is the right place for you. But if you are third world immigrant especially from China or India, find some place else more

Very caring physical therapy 10/8/2005

Very caring physical therapy Kennedy Brothers Physical Therapy is one of a kind. They truly get to know and care for their patients. After a few visits, you begin to feel at home. They have FT therapists as well as a handful of PT students, typically from Northeastern. The location is very convenient for anyone working in the Financial District of Boston. The only negative is that it gets pretty busy at times and you may end up waiting quite long for a therapist to attend to you in between exercises, heat, stem therapy, ice, ultrasound etc.... Overall though, just a special place that breathes the love of sports medicine/therapy. more
