I shoot digital for color but black snd white film a lot.today was the very last time i will put up with snobs at kenmore.i asked why they are selling a nikon f3 for only 129.00. With the motor drive.i would have bought it if he told me it was a great deal but insread i got a condecending lecture about how nobody shoots film and most people want a d 800.most of the sales prople here think their shit dont stink.ive bought msny cameras, lenses and tons of film and paper there.never ever again.with customer service like that, they will not be able to support that square footage and inventory for very long.i will enjoy watching them fail to internet sales more

******Don't buy pre-owned equipment***** 8/18/2012

The sales staff at this place is paid on commission, and they will tell you whatever you need to hear to make a purchase. I purchased a used tamron lens for $175 and was guaranteed by Niles that the used lens underwent a rigorous testing procedure. I asked all the right questions, however after taking my camera to the beach, the lens fogged up (proving it was not sealed and not tested whatsoever). A small hair showed up after this and ruined every picture thereafter. I am not an amatuer, and this was a sales job at its finest. Keep going to the next place if you're looking for an honest camera store. more

Great old school camera store! 3/1/2009

I recently moved to the Seattle area from the east coast and have been looking for a local place to satisfy my photo gear semi-obsession. Found it! This place reminds me of the old-school, stuff stacked to the rafters New York camera store that doesn't even really exist there anymore. They actually have a pretty good variety of equipment (including used) for the square footage and the prices seem fair on most things. The real reason I like this place though is the staff. They're a friendly and knoweledgeable lot and even though on my last visit I didn't end up buying anything, they were more than happy to let me put my fingerprints on a whole bunch of "future purchases" and were never pushy or rude. If you're looking for a good alternative to the typical mall type camera store, you should definitely check this place out. more

Not what they used to be 1/27/2007

I wish I could say the place was as helpful as I used to find them. Recent visits have resulted in poor treatment from haughty staff who were clearly uninterested in even the basics of customer service. During the last visit, my wife and I left feeling very insulted. I'll shop elsewhere in the future. more

An Outstanding Imaging Store 5/30/2006

Kenmore Camera is a family owned business. The business is ran by the entire family and is first rate in Seattle. The family pride is based on great customer service to all. This shop has a great sales force that is up to date with the latest technologies and you can find many items not carried at box stores. Why shop at a box house or on the internet when you can shop at Kenmore Camera. more

Cameras with Service 4/11/2006

These days, it is hard to find a good full service camera shop. You either have to deal with the small mall shops or have to mail order what you need. Kenmore Camera is a good full service camera shop. Service is sometimes a little "stand-offish" (camera people tend to be a little unsocial). But they do know their stuff. And you'll find a complete range of gear and supporting materials for both the traditional and digital photographer. more

Can Do Kenmore Camera 3/18/2006

When they aren't too crowed the folks over at Kenmore Camera are helpful and knowledgeable. They have a large selections of cameras, some of which are pricey, but high end cameras are. Also, there is a photo lab on site for printing needs. They are opened Monday through Saturday and plenty of parking. more

Good Place to Pick up Camera Equipment 8/16/2005

I got into photography shortly before moving to Seattle, so naturally I wanted a place to pick up new equipment. Kenmore Camera offers a knowledgeable staff, as well as tons of new and used equipment at great prices. They also buy and trade old equipment, for reasonable compensation. I highly recommend shopping at Kenmore Camera if you have any photography needs. more
