Most natural looking acrylics 9/12/2009

I was always reluctant to get acrylic nails, even though my hands really could have used them. My 18-year old daughter gave me a gift certificate to Kathy's Nails (she had been going to see Lisa for awhile) and I got acrylics for the first time. I got so many compliments on my nails and no one could tell they were "fake". And I have never had a nail pop off. Lisa knows nails and will tell you how to care for them to keep them healthy. She has clients of all ages because she relates well to people. more

Love this place! 1/23/2009

There is a reason why Kathy's Nails is always full when you walk in ... They do a GREAT JOB! Kathy's Nails is a family owned business run by a young, very pretty, super sweet mother of 2 (with one on the way!) named Lisa. They have been in business at this location for over 7 years which really tells you something about the quality of the services provided. Lisa takes her business very seriously and is eager to please her customers. They don't make you feel guilty if you want your nails done a certain way, they just want you to be as happy as possible and return in the future! The prices are unbeatable, the service is fantastic and my manicures and pedicures last for weeks. I have had manis/pedis at the elite Gene Juarez, and Kathy's last FAR longer at a fraction of the price. A great small business that I hope will be around for years and years to come. Also, another reviewer said that her pedicurist was "unfriendly" .. I don't believe for a second that she was being rude on purpose ... The family did come from a different country, so I would say that it is a cultural difference, not a personality flaw. I have never experienced any type of unfriendliness in the 7 years I have been seeing them ... That is why I keep coming back! :) more

A quick and easy stop... 10/23/2005

I enjoy this place because sometimes I need to get my pedicure and manicure fast because I do not have the time to sit there for two hours. It is not a place I would go everytime but I do enjoy it if I really need the job done and quickly. The prices are about average and the service is ok. Like the previous review, the customer service was a little sub-par. But when I am in need of a quick stop-n-go treatment I do not really have time to chat, so it is great! more

Rushed and disappointing 7/23/2005

I am new to Seattle and a regular pedicure client for many years. I tried this shop based on the positive review on Judy's Book. This was a shocking and disappointing experience. The pedicurist rushed through the pedicure in 12 minutes without a word of greeting, looking out the front window the entire time. It is beyond my understanding why a shop would employ such a grim and artless practitioner, but I certainly will never return. more

Get a good, quick mani/pedi for $30ish 6/16/2005

My babysitter, a Seattle native, turned me onto this place. It's a no fuss, no nonsense mani/pedi spot with spa chairs and a cumpulsory lower leg massage. The color selection is sufficient. The service is excellent. They cater to all ages with the same fantastic customer service and a paint job that lasts until your next quickie. more
