One of the reasons we bought our house was because the kitchen had enormous potential. The cabinets were all original cherry wood, and the island was something my wife had always wanted. The house itself was definitely a fixer-upper, but, after we got settled in, we knew the kitchen was the place to start.\r
We’re new to the St. Louis area, so we stared asking our neighbors and coworkers if they knew of any local contractors who would be worth the time and money. We received several suggestions from several people, but the only contractor we really felt comfortable with was Kathy Arnold Painting. \r
After viewing her portfolio and chatting about the possibilities, we were absolutely convinced Kathy and her crew were the ones for the job. And we’re glad we did! The results were better than anything we expected. They sanded the rest of the original stain off cabinets, filled in the little nicks, then stained them all over again. Additionally, they painted the walls of the kitchen a nice ivory color using a technique they called sponging, which tied everything together beautifully by adding some extra texture to the room.\r
In the end, we were 100% satisfied with the quality of the work and of the level professionalism involved in getting the project completed within the scheduled time frame, as well as within the initial budget we all agreed upon during the consultation. Since then, I’ve recommended Kathy Arnold Painting to several friends and know of at least one of them who experienced equally satisfying results.
