First off I just want to say that I am not a parent and I do not take my kids to Kare-A-Lot, but after the experience I had this morning I want to make sure all parents take careful consideration before dropping your kids off here. I am a pet owner and take my dog to the groomer at the establishment next door. As all pets do, my dog needed to relieve his bowels after the car ride so I decided to take him to the back alley next to a fence and a dumpster. I thought this would be a safe place off busy Riverside Drive, out of sight, and one of the few pieces of grass in the area (I wouldn't even call it grass...more like dirt and garbage debris). What I did not expect was an overweight man, with his shirt unbuttoned and his belly showing to come out and start belittling me, cursing at me, and threatening me. Keep in mind this is a child care center where a manager or teacher is screaming out swear words out one of their entrances where families and their children walk up every day. What a great experience that would be to walk up on. I think I would have a hard time dropping my kids off with a man that is barely wearing and shirt and cussing out obscenities. Please tell me he puts one on in the classrooms??!! After being screamed at I simply stated that I needed to go retrieve a plastic bag to pick up my dog's business. Rather than just leaving it alone and trusting that a responsible dog owner would do that he continued to yell at me stating that kids play in the back alley, against a fence, and next to a dumpster. What a great play area that would be, as I am sure they are playing kick ball and tag around the garbage debris and the disgusting dumpster that is positioned next to a 3 x 3 foot piece of weeds/grass. That seems like an ideal spot to maybe throw a blanket out and sit in the sun. Half your blanket might even be on the alley's pavement. Moral of the story...be real careful as to who is watching your kids because if this is how this gentleman acts towards me, who knows how he acts while in the classroom. By the way, the only reason this rating got "one" start was because you have to choose at least one.
