Although the shop is cute (reminscent of sprinkles), the displays are nice, the cupcake itself is inconsistant. With 6 visits there to date and i find the quality varies with each visit. Being somewhat addicted to cupcakes, I will still stop in, hoping to find the quality up. Mostly either too dry or overbaked, same with the icing, sometimes too little icing. i tend to point and pick my specific cupcake rather than leave it to the server. Other places with a more consistant product (although everyone seems to be the same pricing in the $3-$3.50 range) are Miette's at the Ferry Building, Noe Valley Bakery on 24th Str and recently, i tried the Cal-Mart on California in Laurel Village, and was surprised to find a decent cupcake plus mini sizes also. The best is still the orginal Sprinkles, who may be coming to SF area! Check out their website for ""coming locations""!
Pros: If you really crave a cupcake and are in the neighborhood go for it, but don't expect gourmet quality
Cons: Pick out the best looking one of the bunch or you may be disappointed, parking is diificult most of the time. Not worth a special trip.
