I love soondooboo (soft tofu). I think this is one of the best things ever to eat and can eat it everyday without getting tired of it. Kaju SoonDooBoo is pretty good; it's not the best soondooboo that I've had but it definitely hits the spot. While the $8.99 price might scare off a few die-hard soondooboo fans, and might be a bit steep for lunch, it's definitely worth it's weight in gold for dinner. Your soondooboo is offered in various varieties (my favorite is the pork, which is the original soondooboo), with rice and various panchan or side dishes. It's definitely a fun place to take people to who are new to Korean food; most people get excited about how many side dishes come out. Go and try it there! It's good!! more

Tofu! 9/1/2005

If you like Korean tofu, this is probably the best location in Irvine. They have a variety of tofu soup (seafood, beef, pork) for $8 and now serve tofu and meat combinations (bbq beef, spicy pork) for $13. The side dishes are also the best selection around (kimchi, cucumbers, fish, sprouts). more

Ka Ju Tofu Restaurant: A Bilingual Experience 8/11/2005

Ka Ju Tofu Restaurant is Korean but they also speak Chinese. The food is excellent. The tofu is steaming hot and fresh and the taste is great. The service is excellent too because they have those buzzers to ask for service. The atmosphere is authentic tofu Korean restaurant setting. They serve you many great tasting small, appetizer dishes whenever you order so you can't go wrong with the variety in those dishes. The food is delicious. more

Soft Tofu -- A Healthy Way to Dine 8/5/2005

Ka Ju Tofu Restaurant is in a class of its own. Formerly located in Garden Grove, Ka Ju moved its location to the popular hangout on Jeffrey and Walnut. With your meal comes a variety of side dishes, a bowl of rice, and water (either tea or tap water). Side dishes and rice is unlimited but that doesn't mean you can stay for hours eating nothing but rice and side dishes. If you're in the mood for something healthy, eat at Ka Ju Tofu Restaurant. Soft Tofu can be ordered: White, Mild, Medium, Hot, and Extra Hot. more
