K-Nine Barber Shop

In 2004-2008 I took my dog, Sam, for grooming. We lived about two miles from the shop, so it was convenient. He was a medium size (50-60 lbs) shepherd mix. I always had him buzzed down except for his cool tail that resembled an Akita's tail. He always came back to me looking beautiful. \r \r In 2012 I was fortunate to adopt a Pomeranian from HAWS. Lucci (as in Susan Lucci or Gucci with an L) has the typical pom long hair - ugh! So I called K-Nine to see if the same groomer was available that previously did Sam. Turns out she isn't grooming any longer. \r \r I did get an appointment with another groomer that did a fabulous job on Lucci. Same buzzed down cut with the long tail. Lucci's buzzed down fur felt like velvet. I didn't get her name however I did learn the same groomer works on your dog each time. So now that it's been several months and his hair is getting long again -- it's time to make a trip over to K-Nine. \r \r B-T-W... We're about 10 miles or so away from K-Nine now. So it's not more

This was the worst experience EVER. It was our first time there and w/out a doubt, our last! Not only did I bring my Teddy Bear Puppy, Uno, home like he had been attacked, but the OWNER cut/knicked him in numerous spots. He did not appear to be washed, his ears were not trimmed and he had ALOT of patches of skin.He was VERY uneven. I was embarassed for him! He had little cuts/knicks all over him. I contacted the owner who stated SHE GROOMED HIM. I was not even able to finish my complaint when she told me "I told you he was going to be short because of the knots". I told her I was "fine w/ him being short, and it was only a knot in his tail but NOT fine w/ him having cuts". I attempted to proceed w/ my complaint when she rudely interrupted me and said "No you listen to me! I'm talking now!" I stopped her and said, "Wait a minute, I'm the customer, at least let me finish my complaint" The OWNER immediately hung up the phone on me. Te conversation took about 33 seconds! It was the worst thing my dog has ever gone through. My Teddy Bear puppy, Uno, came home with spots that were bleeding. Multiple Cuts/Knicks. He was not washed nor were his ears trimmed. He looked terrible. When I called to talk to the owner, turned out SHE groomed him. She did not let me finish my complaint. She yelled at me and tole me "To listen to her and SHE was talking now!" When I attempted to finish my complaint she hung up on me. The entire conversation took less than 35 seconds! They hurt my baby and made him bleed and I am not happy!! more

The groomers just have a special way with dogs. I highly reccomend this shop if you have a difficult dog. I tried another shop once (I couldn't wait for the next available appointment) and I got called back right away because he would not let them groom him. Obviously this is a groomer in hight demand, otherwise there would not be the wait. Holidays are when the wait could be almost 2 weeks. The least is about 4 days. We have been taking our Aussie to K-Nine for about 6 years now... and will be also taking our new puppy Aussie there as well. They get baths, haircuts and nail trims. K-Nine employees really take the time to get to know what you want, and want to know if you're truly pleased, or if you'd like to try something different. They know you when you come back, and always treat you well. They only work by appointment, but do a wonderful job. My dog always seems to be happy to go there, and looks SO CUTE when she's done! Prices are reasonable, and I'm always happy to recommend them!! more

I took my dog to K-Nine Barbershop for the first time after a bad experience with my previous groomer. The girl was very friendly and attentive to both myself and my dog. She took the time to get to know us and find out what we were looking for. I loved the haircut and my dog seemed to have an enjoyable experience.I will definitely be going back!\r A big bonus is the selection of dog toys and treats at very reasonable prices, alot less than your discount pet stores. more
