Over the last 9 years my husband and I have been fortunate enough to purchase 3 properties, all of which were new. All three of our homes have been furnished with appliances from Judd and Black in Everett, WA. We have also purchased other furnishings like tv's, VCR's etc. from them over the years.
Each home has been an upgrade for us and as such the appliances have gotten better in brand and quality. As with all major appliances we have had our share of technicians come and service them. Judd and Black has as been fairly prompt in sending technicians out with one exception (in which case no one ever showed up).
Unfortunately they have failed to fix the problems/defects 100% of the time. The most trouble we have had is with a television we purchased from them. It took several months as opposed to the two week (15 day) time line they gave us. We also had to continue to call and check on the status as no one made any effort to contact us. Even when the ""repair"" was finished we didn't get a call. (I say ""repair"" because they never actually fixed the issue)
In our current home we have had trouble with our Fridgedaire Professional Series dishwasher. It just never gets the dishes clean or rinses the soap/jet dry residue off. A few months after moving in we had someone from Judd and Black service department in Everett come out and take a look at it. He suggested using very little dishwasher detergent, running the hot water before starting it and running it on the ""ultimate wash"" setting.
Although his suggestions helped a bit the problem was never fixed. We called back quite a few months later but no one ever came out to service the unit.
Now the unit is no longer under warrantee and still not working properly. We have to hand wash everything that goes in and wash most of the dishes off when they come out to get the residue off. Though the original problem has never been fixed and they failed to send out a technician the last time we called the only thing they offered was to send out another technician, at our cost of course.
Unfortunately we have never been impressed with their service department in past experiences (both with appliances and television) and this one is no exception. We will definitely be purchasing from other appliance stores as well as seeking technicians elsewhere in the future.
