Juan's is the hipster place to eat and be seen. Rockin' music (that's kept to a conversational volume most of the time), tattooed waitstaff, local art all over the walls--you name it. The place has really tasty food for pretty decent prices. Their burritos are generous and filling, enough for a meal and a snack later if you're not too hungry. However, some of their entrees, such as the fish tacos, are really not enough to fill even a light eater up--be sure to order a decent appetizer if you get most of the taco orders. The service is passable, though if you don't have a friend who works there, prepare to get occasional hard-core punk attitude for no reason (we went there one day and a waitress sprayed cleaning fluid over our table--and our food--while we were eating, and we weren't being difficult customers or anything). As a whole, a decent place to stop by if you're hungry and in the hood.
Pros: hip place, fun atmosphere, tasty bites
Cons: slow service, occasional annoying waitstaff and overly loud music
