Welcome to JRA Designs of Santa Barbara, Ca! With 18 years of industry experience, designer Justin Reuben Avery proudly provides wedding gowns, formal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, veils, alterations and more for the Santa Barbara, Goleta and Los Angeles areas.

We believe that women of today spend too much time contorting their bodies in order to meet the current standards of fashion. Our philosophy is simply to make the clothes fit the woman and not to make the woman fit the clothes. Fashion is to be used as a means of expression and creativity, not a standard of life or a measure of weight. JRA Designs and Alterations is all about making dresses that bring out what is special about you. We make no effort to create something about you that is not already there. Honestly, we reserve that process for our costuming department. Weddings are our specialty. We believe that the only appropriate ingredients for such an occasion are ones that are real. Our philosophy is to Hide nothin g, but take what is there and make it awesome. We feel this is a more natural and graceful approach to finding a woman's beauty. No one likes to see a woman attempt to be someone that she is not. (The irony is that everyone can tell anyway.) For pure beauty lies not with imitation. Instead, for each and every woman, we seek to find the same balance that the all time fashion greats in history found and used for their entire lives.
