Josephine's Day Spa and Salon

I have been going to Josephines for a while, but I think I have reached the end of my rope with these people. After not being able to get an appt. with my usual person I ended up with Svetlana who I went to for a highlight and ended up getting charged for a haircut that I didnt ask for or want..Then, last week after not being able to get an appt with my usual stylist I made the mistake of asking for Michelle who informed me AFTER I had been there for 45 minutes and had already been shampooed and was in the chair that she was going to charge me another $20 for my already $45 haircut..and says to me is that ok?? Well, I think at this point its a little late for that question..why dont you try letting the person know before they come in or say "next time" we are going to charge you extra because you have curly hair..Then she says that shes going to give me a really good hair style (as opposed to the crappy one she was going to give me before she hustled me out of another $20) Apparently, customer service isnt their best quality. I think $65 is a little much for a haircut..I will definitely be looking for another salon. more

I work about 40 hours a week at my office job. Going home is not the place for me to relax. So my girlfriends and I decided to make it a monthly commitment to do something for ourselves. After looking in an ad, we found out about Josephine's Day Spa and Salon. The staff there is friendly and makes a big effort in helping us feel comfortable. The price is right too. more

Josephine's Day Spa and Salon is a wonderful place to go, get away and relax. When I go, I usually buy a package since buy the services seperately can get a little expensive. I am always happy to finish with a cut and style. THis is a great place to buy gift certicates for wifes and friends. I sent one to my sister for her baby shower gift. She hasn't used it yet. When she does, I'll see what she thinks. more

I tried Josephine's for a haircut. I did not have a recommendation, but it looked like a nice place and I love Aveda products so I gave it a try. The hairstylist I had was the owner, Josephine, of the salon (she claimed) and I told her what I was looking for. She washed my hair and it was awesome and I thought how could this go wrong. Well from there it went down hill. I specifically said no bangs, but yet I had bangs and then with my hair being so thing (and thinning) she continued to thin my hair. At this point (in the middle) I continued to question her, but she felt she knew better. By the end I was in tears and charged $70 for a haircut and she could not understand why I didn't like it. It looks great for pedicures and manicures but I would not recommend having Josephine cut your hair. The niceness of the service could also improve some. I would try elsewhere. more
