Professional, Charming, Great Value 9/9/2010

No one likes changing barbers, but when I moved to LA I had to find someone new. Jose's friendly demeanor and professional cuts at a decent price made the transition a breeze. I highly recommend him. more

A classic since I was 5 6/20/2010

Jos? has been cutting my hair since I was a kid. He's the family barber: At our father's day gathering this year, I found out that my uncles and even a cousin or two had also just gotten a cut with Jos?! It's true that Jos? loves golf. He also is an avid baritone saxophone player, although I have yet to hear him play. But I'll bet it makes your hair grow shorter. LOL!! Jos? is reliable and can almost always squeeze you in for a last minute cut before an interview, important meeting or Yom Tov. Jos? can be reached for comment at 310-276-4552. Pros: Excellent electric massage before a cut; Friendly & Reliable Cons: I only have to go once every 2 months! more

Best Jewish / Kosher Haircut in Pico Robertson Beverly Hills 5/5/2010

Jose the barber has been cutting my hair for over 13 years since I moved here from NY. I wouldn't think of going to anyone else now. He's not just my baber now, he's a good friend. Pros: Jose has a talent like none other - and he knows the rules Cons: Jose loves golf :-) more

Don't come home until you see Jose! 5/3/2010

My headline says it all. My wife says ""don't come home until you see Jose"", and believe me, I don't. Jose has been my barber for 46 years; he is a Master Craftsman. Having your hair cut by Jose is a privelege. You come to see a friend, and by the way, he cuts your hair. He is incomparable. So, I drive in from West Hills and am pampered by the Maestro.Twenty years from now I will still be driving into the City for my trip to Jose....I hope we both remember why I showed up! Pros: Just the best barber in the City more

The best barber in LA 5/2/2010

Jose has been cutting my hair for years and he is the best. A pleasure to visit him in the bright lively surroundings at Little Joe's Pros: Makes me look great more

Great Barber in Beverly Hills 5/1/2010

Jose Lozano has been my barber for more years than I want to admit. He's friendly, but professional, has a wonderful heart, and is a great barber. . I have been driving from Burbank all the way to Beverly Hills just to have Jose cut my hair, because he's worth it. I think of him as a ""classic"" barber, though he cuts the hair of both young and old. I very confidently recommend that you try him. Once you find a barber like him, you just keep going back Pros: Talented Classic Barber Cons: Nothing more

Old School Elegance and Professionalism 4/30/2010

I love this guy. I used to go to salons and pay $50-$80 for my cuts. Then, when I moved, and I put off finding a new stylist until finally, in desperation, I tried my father's barber. Who knew my dad had a discovered a gem in the city!?! That is how I found Jose, and I'm glad I did. He is so friendly, responsive, has lots of life stories to share, and a great sense of humor. He starts off with this amazing head massage that I look forward to every time. After that, he expertly cuts my hair. His assistant brushes me off, and I'm done. For $25, Jose gives the royal treatment. He is an Old School barber who nevertheless is up to date on trends and techniques. Other services you can get: Shave (also $25), and a manicure while your hair is being cut (I haven't tried this yet). I work in Beverly Hills so Jose, who works out of Little Joes, is super convenient. There is inexpensive public parking lots on the same street too. (FYI: the first time I went, a had a some difficulty finding it.) I whole-heartedly recommend this excellent barber. Pros: expertise, friendliness, head massage, inexpensive Cons: Not a thing more

Best Haircut in SoCal - Years of Experience 8/15/2008

Jose has been around for years. He's been cutting my grandfather's hair since the 1980's and has been cutting mine for about 15-years. Jose is great with the elderly, middle aged, young adults and kids. I even drive from the San Fernando Valley out to Jose in Beverly Hills whenever I need a haircut. So, if you're nearby, give Jose a call and he will fit you in to his busy schedule. Pros: Great Haircut Cons: Parking more

Simply the best barber in town! 5/14/2008

I few years ago, I went on a hunt to find a good barber shop. In a city that can be too much, Jose was a great find. When I get me hair cut now, it is a 1/2 hour of relaxation with a friend. The history of the shop is fascinating and neck massage and shoe shine services are great. more

Look forward to getting your haircut! 5/5/2008

I used to dread having to get my haircut - it was never a good experience, and I was never happy with the outcome. Now that I have Jose cutting my hair, I actually look forward to it. The neck and shoulder massage is a great way to unwind after a day at the office, and the haircut is always great! Pros: TV that is either showing the game or classic singer/songwriters more

Best haircut in all of L.A. - great for adults and kids alike 4/30/2008

If you're looking for a great haircut on the Westside, Jose is the best choice and best value. Don't let the fancy Beverly Hills address scare you. Jose's prices are very reasonable. His service starts off with a nice neck and shoulder massage, followed by a great haircut. Whatever your style, Jose will meet and probably exceed your expectations. It's no wonder he has such a loyal group of clients. If you have kids, take them with. Jose is excellent with kids and will have a lollipop waiting for them, whether or not they get a haircut. Be sure to call ahead for an appointment. Pros: All pros not cons more

An old-school LA institution for Westside insiders! 3/27/2008

I've been going to Jose to get my hair cut since I was 8 years old. Since that time, Jose has changed locations a few times and now operates a chair out of Drucker's Barbershop, which is a really nice, classy establishment (you can tell by the autographed photos of Ronald Reagan and Frank Sinatra on the walls!). Jose gives a great haircut and is as easygoing as a friendly next-door neighbor. His prices are very reasonable and he always greets you with a smile. If you're looking for an honest-to-goodness fair haircut and a pleasant experience, this is it! You'll probably want to come back - I have for the past 28 years! Pros: Friendly personal service, great looking haircut, in-and-out usually within 30-45 minutes. Cons: You MUSTcall ahead to make an appointment! Closed Sundays and Mondays. more
