Nice hometown hardware store 10/15/2005

We love this hardware store. They have a little of everything - and definitely what you are looking for. The staff is great and they always have popcorn popping. Yum! They are super friendly and even though their prices are a little higher than the box stores, we don't mind. Some of their stuff is even cheaper, like air filters. We like their garden section too. more

Small but Good and Close to Home 10/5/2005

Johnson's Home and Garden is smaller than the chain stores but the customer service and knowledge of associates is excellent. It's a bit cramped and dingy in there but the upcoming remodel should fix that. The kids will love the free popcorn (mom and dad will too!) Pricing can be a bit higher than the national chains, but the convenience makes up for it. more

Perfect for the hard to find item 8/11/2005

I have found many things here that I can't find at the big stores. The help here is also much better with people who actually know what they are talking about. You are almost always greeted when you enter the store with a friendly hello and the popcorn isn't to bad either. The prices are a little higher than the big guys but well worth it when you consider all the extra benefits. more

Free popcorn while you shop 8/2/2005

Johnson's Home and Garden Do-It Center is a fun place to browse. The prices on some items seem high and on other things, inexpensive. They offer you free popcorn while you shop which helps keep the kids from getting so bored they run around the store. It¹s a little crowded in there but things are fairly easy to find. It¹s not anywhere close to being as big as Home Depot, but it works for smaller projects. more
