After reading the hype for years and the place even being endorsed by Jim Phillips, I figured Johnny's Filling Station was going to be a rare treat. Boy, that couldn't be farther from the truth. I've never had worse service in my life. I can understand the kitchen being slammed (although the place was half empty), but when you try to flag down the waitress (after your order has been in for over an hour) and she yells at you before you have a chance to say a single word, there's something wrong. Although she had no problem chatting with the guys at the next table over for 20 minutes. I can live with this, though, I was there for the burger! The Best Burger in Orlando! Well, let me tell you, it's nowhere close. Stay home, make a burger patty, throw it in a frying pan, and throw it on the cheapest bun you can buy at the store and you'll pretty much have the same sandwich. Do people just not know any better? There was nothing defining about this burger that made ti stand out from the pack. This place was a total let down. At least the decor was pretty cool (gotta love the signed Guided By Voices poster).
Pros: The decor was great! I could see being a regular if it wasn't for the cons.
Cons: Worst service I've ever had, sub-par hamburger. Food wasn't bad, but certainly didn't live up to the hype.
